Amazing trip, great organization and awesome tour guide. I loved the experience and highly recommend to my friends and family.
Hi! Thank you so much for your kind words, we're thrilled you had such a great experience. We'll be sure to pass along your feedback to the guide and team. We hope to welcome you (and your friends and family!) back soon.
It was a cool experience, but the weather did not help much and we could not see the main hill. The story about the Perito Moreno that the guide told and the Hotel la Leona are amazing. I think summer is the best time for this trip.
This was an amazing day trip, the bus picked us up on time and our tour guide Alejandro was the most knowledgeable and quite frankly the funniest tour guide I think I ever had. He spoke perfect English although we're semi fluent and we could understand a lot of the Spanish as well, he was engaging the whole time and taught us Argentinian history. The tour guide really does make the trip! From walking us to the waterfall to climbing the trail for an awesome view of the city and surrounding mountains he was always helpful. The whole day went smoothly and with the weather holding out( called for rain and snow) it was actually one of the best days in my life. The pic is with Alejandro!
Thank you so much for such a heartwarming review! We are absolutely thrilled to hear that this was one of the best days of your life—it truly doesn’t get any better than that for us. We will definitely share your kind words with Alejandro; he will be so happy to know his humor and passion for Argentinian history made such an impact on your trip. We agree, a great guide makes all the difference! We’re also so glad the weather held out so you could enjoy those breathtaking views of the mountains and the waterfall. It was a true pleasure having you with us. We hope to welcome you back to Argentina someday for more adventures. Safe travels!"
A little bcold getting on the bus, takes awhile to warm it up. Seen wildlife on the way, gaucho herding cattle. The treks were decent , n ut the mountain peaks weren't being friendly, didn't open up, looked like if you were up there it would of been rough
"Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We are glad you enjoyed the wildlife and that special local sight of the gauchos herding cattle—it's truly a glimpse into the authentic Patagonian lifestyle. We appreciate your feedback regarding the temperature on the bus. In the early morning hours, it can take a little time for the heating to fully circulate throughout the cabin, and we thank you for your patience while it warmed up. Regarding the mountains, you're absolutely right; when the peaks are covered, it's usually a sign of wilder weather up high! Even when they are 'shy,' the atmosphere of the park remains powerful and unique. We are happy the treks were to your liking and we hope to welcome you back on a clear, sunny day in the future!"
nothing interesting to see, the village was worth a visit but we only stopped to eat at the restaurant
Buona fortuna!
Incredible views, our tour guide has a great story teller as well. The hikes were easy and logistics flawless. My jacket flew away and another guide found it and took it to the visitors center. Saved the rest of my trip💖
"Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the 'flawless' logistics and that our guide’s storytelling made the landscapes come even more alive for you. We hope to see you again!
One of the most amazing tours of life, beautiful place, spectacular view and very friendly and attentive guide

It was a long drive to El Chalten, with a brief rest stop at Hotel La Leona which is part of Route 40. On arrival at El Chalten, we were informed that effective that day March 3, visitors would have to pay 3018 pesos as city tax. The method of collection was not organized, we were directed here and there where to go just to do the payment. I gave a 10000 peso bill as payment for a total tax of 6036 pesos for 2 pax and I expected and trusted the cashier to give the correct change of 3964. However, when we returned to the bus, I counted the change I got and realized it was only 3090. Not nice at all. Anyway, the rest of the day was fine...the waterfall at Chorrillos del Salto was nice, lunch at Rancho Grande was good, entrance ticket to the park is now 50% off because of the previous day's visit to Perito Moreno glacier, the trek to Miradores de las Condores was a bit challenging for us seniors but still doable. Unfortunately, the cloud cover was a kill joy and blocked what would have been a stunning view of the glacier peaks. We finished around 4:00 pm and we were back in El Calafate safe and sound at 6:30 pm.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such a detailed review of your trip. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the visit to Chorrillo del Salto, the lunch at Rancho Grande, and that you were able to complete the trek to Miradores de los Cóndores. It is great that you could take advantage of the National Park discount! We are sincerely sorry to hear about the frustrating experience you had with the municipal tax collection. Please note that this fee is managed directly by the local authorities of El Chaltén and is independent of our tour service. However, we take your feedback seriously and will share your comments with the relevant department to help improve the information We appreciate your visit and hope to welcome you back to Patagonia in the future!
This is a good way to experience a bit of El Chalten from El Calafate if you have limited time in the area. They picked up early from the hotel, narrated in both Spanish and English on the bus ride to El Chalten. It included two very doable hikes (one short one to a beautiful waterfall & the other up to a viewpoint that loos over to the city (very windy, but nice scenery)- Mirador de Los Condores (you also see the condors flying above). Lunch was included (it was okay…) Our guide and bus driver were great. Appreciated their knowledge of the flora, fauna, & history (& to making enough bathroom stops)! Bus was comfortable. Good communication before the trip regarding pick-up, etc.
"Thank you so much for your detailed review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the Chaltén experience and that our team made your journey comfortable and informative. It’s wonderful that you got to spot the condors at the viewpoint—it's always a magical moment! We truly appreciate your feedback regarding the lunch and the hikes, as it helps us keep improving. It was a pleasure having you with us!"
This tour starts out a little early, we went in mid-March and we were very cold in that shuttle until our first stop (the rest area at the historic old hotel). We should have been better prepared for the cold, but the shuttle did not have heat and felt breezy that early in the morning. We lucked out with the weather, with a warm and sunny day and clear views of the mountains. We were only in El Chalten for enough time to eat lunch at one of the local restaurants - there was not time to explore the town. Lunch was just okay, everyone eats together at communal tables. Our group got separated and one of us ended up at a table with a group that did not speak the same language so it was a little awkward for her. We would have preferred less time for lunch, maybe something that was more simple and more time to explore the area. Our tour guide was interesting and charismatic, but she switched back and forth between Spanish and English so quickly that it was difficult to follow what she was saying at times. The walk to the Los Condores viewpoint was by far the highlight of the day. The waterfall walk was fine but there were a lot of tour groups there so it felt a little crowded.
Thank you very much for taking the time to share such detailed feedback about your experience. We truly appreciate your comments, as they help us improve our service. We’re glad that you enjoyed the beautiful weather and the clear views of the mountains during the day. Regarding the time in El Chaltén and the lunch arrangement, this excursion is designed to include a group meal as part of the experience, but we understand that some travelers may prefer more free time to explore the town. Your feedback is very valuable and will be taken into consideration. We also appreciate your comments about the guide. We are happy to know that the walk to the Los Cóndores viewpoint was the highlight of your day. As for the waterfall stop, it can indeed be busy at certain times due to the popularity of the site. Thank you again for your observations, and we hope to welcome you on another excursion that better matches your preferences in the future.
