We had an exceptional experience with Timberbush Tours, in no small part due to our lovely guide, Karis. With a disposition as sunny as the beautiful weather that we were lucky enough to experience, Karis was the perfect guide of the Highlands. Informative, helpful, and an excellent driver, especially on the smaller roads, Karis provided one of the best tours that we have experienced in recent years. Her rolling commentary was consistently interesting and highly articulate. If a career in tourism doesn't work out, she should consider a job in broadcasting.
Amazing, themed music throughout, the perfect amount of explanation and a wonderful tour overall. Karis was an amazing guide.
Hi there! Thank you so much for your lovely review! We are delighted to hear that you had a great time on tour with Karis! She certainly know how to make a tour fun! We hope you learned plenty of new and interesting facts while on tour with her! We appreciate you taking the time to write a review and hope to see you again sometime soon! Best wishes, Elizabeth
It was wonderful and our guide was fantastic! I will be coming back if the good Lord allows. It was a wonderful way to see the country side. They were very patient with our kids.
Terrible experience. Even though our guide tried so hard to entertain us, sometimes he was also annoying, the tour is so bad. You’ll be taken to ugly places where there is basically nothing to do and to see. We’ve been stopped on a road with a store where evidently the company is sharing commissions . Please don’t waisted a day that you could spend in Edinburgh on this non sense tour. You’ll feel like a rat in a cage from 8:30 am to 6:30 pm. So bad !!! A complete scam!
Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear the tour did not meet your expectations. Our itineraries are designed to showcase a variety of Scotland's landscapes, attractions and local communities. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Really exciting tour with lots of beautiful nature and a great driver who accompanied us for two days in a very confident and likeable manner. Despite the wildfire in Cairngorms National Park, we had great stops. You can tell that Anne knows her stuff! Anne, you‘re doing great! Thank you for having us on your bus.
I booked this tour for 4 people for July 19-20th. It was easy to find the pickup location in Edinburgh, and we were surprised that it turned out to be a small tour as most others booked the Glencoe tour instead of going up to Inverness. We had Shug as our guide and driver, and had such an AMAZING time!! Because we were a smaller tour, he asked us what we wanted to see, what we were interested in, and we improvised parts of the tour to get more time to see things we were into. We didn't care for a ruined castle, so we opted for a waterfall detour. We got to see the hairy cows, but also passed by "sherafs" on the way too (alpacas). Shug made a number of scenic and safe "ninja stops" for us to take photos, take in the sights, etc., before we'd get to our main stopping points. Shug also has so much knowledge of the history of the Highlands, it was wonderful. Between his knowledge, accent, and tempo, and since we were a bit tired, we did doze off a few times. If he ever starts a YouTube channel reading/narrating Scottish history or stories, I bet there's a market for that. And because we were a small group and we made great time, he offered to drop us off at our flat in Edinburgh so we won't need to carry all the extra things we purchased from the trip. 10/10 would do this again, and with Shug as the guide.
We took an overnight tour from Edinburgh to Inverness leaving on Monday July 6th returning on Tuesday July 7th. Unfortunately we were not able to see Loch Ness not get to Inverness early enough to see the town. There were numerous accidents that prevented us from seeing our sights. We booked this trip with hopes of seeing Inverness and that was the most important site for us.
Amazing experience! Loved the places we’ve visited. We had a wonderful tour guide, Neil. He’s funny, caring, knowledgeable and professional. He has made this tour amazing and unforgettable!
Great scenic tour!! Thoroughly enjoyed. Brian is amazing with tons of stories..didnt feel like a long journey…
