Great lots of fun - the driver was great mr. Biggie ( told us to call him that )lol he was great Thank you for the adventure
Wonderful experience! Thom, our guide was extremely informative and patient with all our questions. The farm was a nice stop and Oliver, the young boy explaining all things farm related, was a hoot! The hike up the waterfall was a challenge for my new knees but my trekking poles helped tremendously. The views were worth the effort!
It was good to drive a bit and see the countryside - about a 50 minute drive. The guide "lucky" was really funny and interesting. I enjoyed him sharing some Icelandic music with us too. The waterfalls were awesome, and so were the two 6 km tunnels we went through. At the waterfalls, we hiked to the top and back, which was harder or impossible for some people that had mobility issues. However, you could take great pictures, even if you didn't climb. The farm tour was amusing but low key. It was small and the family were friendly. The 12 year old farm kid that did the tour was funny even though we missed a lot of what he said.
Tom (don’t ask me his icelandic name lol) was a great guide! We had a wonderful time at the farm, the cake & coffee was very good! I loved that they offered hot chocolate or tea as well. The waterfall was breathtaking and we had plenty of time at each stop to fully enjoy it. Would recommend to anyone who wants to spend a few hours enjoying the scenery this town has to offer!
This tour allowed us to see the “wedding veil” waterfall (Dynjandi)—it was magical…and the delightful hostesses at the farm house served us “happy marriage cake” — perfect don’t you think! There are lots of opportunities to see waterfalls, but this destination is special—don’t miss it! I want to go back! Iceland is beautiful and a bucket list destination!
Tour was on time. Driver was entertaining. Taught us about glaciers. The waterfall was beautiful, but be prepared for a steep hike.
Nice tour which included a stop at a local farm. Interesting discussion about farm life and animal care in Iceland. Dynjandi Falls was amazing. It was huge! The trail to see it up close and personal was very rough in places so wear good sturdy shoes and bring walking sticks if you have them. Our tour guide Tom knew everything about Iceland and shared lots of stories and information with us. He even serenaded us with an Icelandic song! Great guy.
A great excursion! Our tour guide was an exccellent story teller as well as a singer. He did a fun job of keeping us interested in fun facts as we traveled along in our bus.
Tom our guide was wonderful with lots of stories and information. The falls are so much more than you can capture in pictures. It is quite a nice and legitimate hike to the top and I would recommend definitely wearing shoes with some grip. The farm was also a highlight hearing from a local and tasting the cake. Living in the Icelandic horses was a highlight for me.
Very good service and excellent. Thanks a lot
