Well worth the time and money.

We were very happy with our choice of tour. Our guide, Maurice, was knowledgeable and informative, and was a wealth of information, personable and entertaining. Pickup and drop-off were easy, the tour was well organized, and the Giants Causeway is an amazing location. Our Black Taxi driver, Patty, was also extremely knowledgeable of Belfast/ Northern Ireland political history, with first hand knowledge of the violence over the years. And a thank you to our bus driver, Richard, for keeping us safe and on time.

Exquisite!!!

We did the Belfast , Giants of Causeway and Castle Deluce day tour with Maurice the guide and Ciaran the driver and it was fantastic. Maurice was very narrative, exceptional humor , introducing us through the history and turmoil in a playful and serious tone at times, not bored even for a minute. The driver was grat too and the local cab driver and guide at the black cab tour of Belfast was grat also. Very passionate . Would definitely suggest!

Super Tour 12/08/26

Fantastic day. The black cab tour was brilliant. The driver was so professional and friendly. I ended up being the only one after a confusion with other passengers. The guide, Maurice and driver, cieran were brilliant all day. Professional and friendly and very knowledgeable. Dunluce Castle is such a beautiful place to visit. As for the Giants Causeway, simply amazing. And to finish it with a solar eclipse... spectacular! Thank you for a fabulous day. It was more than I had hoped for.

This was a fantastic...

This was a fantastic trip. Stephen kept us entertained the entire way and Donna kept us safe. Giant’s causeway was spectacular. I was really looking forward to the black cab tour, the driver was a little hard to understand which was the only drawback of the whole trip.

Food options

Avoid eating lunch at the hotel at the Giant’s Causeway. We had a two hour stop and opted to eat first as none were us had eaten since breakfast at 6 am. We were the first ones seated and to submit our order. After 75 minutes we still had not received our food even after two inquiries. We were told it took this long because we order “hot food” yet tables around us already gotten their “hot food” orders, eaten, and had left. By the time we ate, paid, and then walked to the entrance, there was not enough time to see the Causeway even if we traveled by bus. Extremely disappointing as this was one of the top five places to go during our two week holiday. Recommend that the day tours go to less places to allow for more time to enjoy the experience one to two adventures depending on the distance traveled. On a positive note, the driver and host were fabulous.

Respuesta del operador

Hi Maureen, Thank you for your feedback, and we are very sorry to hear that you ultimately missed the Giant’s Causeway. We can completely understand how disappointing that must have been when it was one of the places you were most looking forward to visiting. However, we are disappointed to receive a 3-star rating for our tour when the issue described relates to the service you received at an independent restaurant you chose to visit during your two hours of free time. You also very kindly mention that our driver and guide were fabulous, which we greatly appreciate. We actually recommend The Nook to our passengers as a convenient option for food at the Causeway. Guests are of course free to choose where they eat, but unfortunately we have no control over waiting times or service levels at independent restaurants. Two hours are allocated at the Giant’s Causeway, and guests are free to use that time as they wish. Spending 75 minutes waiting for a meal is certainly unfortunate, but it is not something our guide, driver or company could have anticipated or prevented. Had our team been made aware of the delay, they may at least have been able to advise you on your options. We appreciate your suggestion regarding visiting fewer places, although the itinerary and stops included in this full-day tour are clearly advertised before booking and are what many guests specifically choose the tour to experience. We are genuinely sorry that the restaurant delay prevented you from seeing the Causeway, but we do feel it is important for future readers to distinguish between the service provided by Wild Rover Tours and an unfortunate experience at an independently chosen restaurant during free time.

Bring an umbrella or rain coat

I think this is a must. I did not enjoy the taxi ride as much because it was raining heavy and you make stops in different areas of town where you’re just standing there while the guide talks. I could not hear the guide because of the passing by cars. Maybe on a sunny day it would be worth it. The rest of the stops were also great and our guide Sean? Gave us great recommendations, played great music, gave us some history behind the places we visited, and was always visible for us to find him.
