I was in Dublin for a week and it was a toss-up between the Irish Whiskey Museum or the Guinness Storehouse since I only had time for one of them. I am glad I chose the whiskey museum. Admittedly, this is also a personal preference since I prefer a good blend or single malt, but for a more intimate, informative, and slow-savouring experience of one of Ireland's most famous - yet under-appreciated gifts to the world, you really can't go wrong with a trip to Irish Whiskey Museum. You get an informative tour of the whiskey industry, Irishmen and Irishwomen of note, a history of the origins of the water of life, and a wonderfully generous sampling of 3-4 whiskies for a reasonable admission fee. I opted for the 4 tastings which came with a souvenir glass. High praise to our guide, Keith, who was incredibly informative, warm, and attentive to the whole time during my visit. Highly recommended and will visit again when I am next in Dublin!
We were lucky enough to get Breen as a host. He was brilliant and interacted with guests from all over the world throughout the tour. He was lively and entertaining and knowledgeable throughout. Finishing with the whiskey tasting at the end it was €25 well spent. Highly recommend this tour.
Briain was absolutely stunning, great guide, very instructive and great fun
Brian was my tour guide, he was fabolous.Had a great time
Super fun and interactive!!! The guide Brian was exceptional, he explained all the processes and the history of Whiskey!! Very, very positive experience :-). I was with a group of friends and we had a great time!
We walked past the entrance and were able to jump into a tour starting in just a few minutes (they start once every 30 mins). It was FANTASTIC. It exceeded all expectations. It is very well done - you move between rooms (and along history), while the tour guide creates an immersive and interactive experience. Karen was wonderful - so knowledgeable, passionate, and funny. She made the whole experience unforgettable. We want to repeat it next time we visit!
We had an outstanding experience at the Irish Whiskey Museum with Andrew as our guide. He brought so much fun and personality to the tour, and his storytelling made the history feel lively and easy to follow. The whole experience was enjoyable, informative, and paced in a way that kept us fully engaged from start to finish. It became a surprising highlight of our time in Dublin. The tasting was well structured, the explanations were clear, and Andrew made the group feel comfortable and involved. We left feeling like we actually understood Irish whiskey rather than just sampling it. We definitely recommend this tour. It delivers great energy, great information, and a guide who knows how to make the experience memorable.
Great tour, plenty of interesting history! Lydia was a wonderful and knowledgable guide.
