The hike up Howth Cliffs and the walk through town was thoroughly entertaining. I highly recommend it! Patrick led us and it was a lot of fun. The pups and beer after wound up a wonderful afternoon.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed exploring Howth with Patrick and that the hike, the pups, and the well-earned pint made for such a wonderful afternoon. Thanks for the recommendation—we'd love to welcome you back again!
This is an absolute must do if you visit Howth! One of the best local walking tours I have done in a while. The dogs are adorable, super friendly and very welcome to anyone who left their furry friend behind while on vacation. Mark is a fantastic story teller who injects humor and insight into the stories and history of the town and countryside. The cliff walk section of the tour provides breathtaking scenery, though may be challenging for people with disabilities or elderly.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted you enjoyed the walk, the stories, and of course spending time with the dogs. Mark will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We also appreciate you mentioning the trail difficulty—it’s really helpful for future guests. Thanks again for the recommendation, and we hope to see you back in Howth someday!
We had a delightful time discovering one of Ireland’s National Treasures. Both breathtaking and adorable: we would encourage everyone to tour with Patrick. Oh, and the puppies & cliffs were fun too! Exploring the coastal stores and oysters shucked by the shore was also a big treat.
Thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted you enjoyed exploring with Patrick and that the cliffs, puppies, coastal stories, and fresh oysters all made the day so memorable. We really appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon!
Paddy was an excellent guide--full of history and stories and good craic. The hike includes a good bit of uphill climbing--just an FYI. Also bring water with you, especially if it is a warm day. The hike begins in town--so many interesting things to see and great stories to listen to. Then up the trail and along the edge of the cliff. The trail is wide most of the way, and wide enough all of the way. I will admit I stayed on the inner edge of the trail. The views are spectacular. Then you get back to the pub--and it is lovely to sit with your new friends and share a pint and something to eat (optional). AND then, the puppies. So adorable.
Thank you so much for your lovely review! We're delighted you enjoyed Paddy's stories, local history, and good craic. Thanks as well for sharing the helpful tips for future hikers. We're so glad you loved the views, the time at the pub afterwards, and of course... the puppies! We hope to see you again on another adventure.
I can't say enough about how fun this tour was. Our guide, Paddy, was so funny and informative! We learned so much history, and the hike was amazing. The views were just so breathtaking. The puppies were adorable - our adult kids (18 & 20) had a blast with them, and the pint at the Bloody Stream after the hike was perfect! Truly a great experience!

Puppies and Pints in Howth was an absolute highlight of our trip to Ireland! The hike offered breathtaking coastal views, charming trails, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the beauty of Howth. Spending time with the friendly dogs made the experience even more special. Our guide was knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about both the area and the animals. My family of 4 (two teens) thoroughly enjoyed the walking tour. Paddy was an amazing and funny guide. He shared with us knowledge of plants and birds along the hike. At various points, Paddy shared the history of events that occurred along the coast the shaped Ireland's history. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to explore Ireland's coast just 30 minutes away from Dublin.

Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome your family back for another adventure in the future! 🍻🐾
Mark, along with his pups, made for a very enjoyable and memorable day in Howth. He shared the history of the area, notable names and recent stories as we walked through town and along the cliffs. The views were incredible! Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate to complete the full hike, but that only meant we got to the pub sooner. Things to keep in mind…parts of the hike may be difficult for those who struggle with stairs and it was significantly more windy in Howth compared to Dublin, so I would recommend layers.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful review! We're delighted to hear you had such an enjoyable and memorable day exploring Howth with us. It's great to know you enjoyed the local history, stories, spectacular cliff views, and, of course, spending time with our pups along the way. While the weather had other plans, we're glad it still led to a well-earned visit to the pub and didn't take away from your experience. We also really appreciate you sharing those helpful tips for future guests. Thanks again for joining us, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure—perhaps with blue skies next time! 🐾🍻
Mark was an absolutely amazing guide! He was extremely personal and felt more of a friend walking you around rather than a cold guide. He cared for everyone in our group, and made sure we were all okay on the hike. He is also extremely funny and has good jokes!! We shared lots of laughs and stories! At the end, his wife joined us at the pub with their little puppies and it was a blast! The views were also incredible. Mark went above and beyond to make this experience something special. I would 10/10 recommend to anyone visiting Dublin, and next time i'm here I will be doing his evening tour as well. Super lovely people and had the best of time!!

We're so glad you enjoyed the laughs, the stories, the stunning views, and of course meeting our puppies at the pub to round off the day. Hearing that you're already planning to join us again for another tour is the biggest compliment we could ask for. Thank you so much for your recommendation, and we can't wait to welcome you back the next time you're in Dublin! 🐾🍻
The coastal hike, pint, and pub experience with Hidden Howth Experiences was the perfect mix of movement, nature, and local culture. The hike itself was a solid workout, with plenty of uphill stretches that get your heart rate up, but it never felt overwhelming because you’re constantly stopping to take in the views. The cliffs, sea air, and quiet trails make it feel really peaceful and grounding, like you’re getting a proper break from the city. What made it stand out was how balanced everything was you’re active, but not rushed. There’s time to actually look around, chat, and enjoy the scenery instead of just powering through. Ending the hike with a pint in a local pub was the best reward, especially with the relaxed atmosphere and that classic Irish pub feel. It felt authentic rather than touristy, and the whole experience had a really easy, fun flow to it.
Thanks so much for this wonderful review! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the balance of the day—from the fresh sea air and stunning coastal scenery to the relaxed pace that gave everyone time to take it all in. It's exactly the kind of experience we hope to create, where guests can enjoy the walk, the stories, and the beautiful surroundings without feeling rushed. We're especially glad you enjoyed finishing the adventure with a well-earned pint in a local pub—that's one of our favourite ways to wrap up the day too! Thank you for your kind words and recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another walk along the Howth cliffs in the future. 🍻🐾
