Salimos en un viaje salvaje por Stirlingshire, donde el poderoso William Wallace dejó su huella en la historia (piense en Braveheart, pero real). Itinerario
Partimos de Edimburgo y nos dirigimos al Castillo de Doune, también conocido como Castillo Leoch en la serie Outlander o Invernalia en Juego de Tronos. En la vida real, el castillo de Doune es un bastión militar del siglo XIV construido específicamente, y un impresionante ejemplo de arquitectura medieval escocesa. Complemento opcional, 10,50 £ por persona Entradas disponibles para comprar en el check-in del tour.
Luego nos dirigimos al encantador pueblo de Tyndrum, que se encuentra en el extremo sur de Rannoch Moor.
Maravíllate con las imponentes ruinas del castillo de Kilchurn. Conocido originalmente como el bastión del Clan Campbell, hoy el castillo se encuentra tranquilamente junto al lago Awe y es el lugar perfecto para hacer una pausa y tomar algunas fotos.
Inveraray es quizás mejor conocida por la cárcel de Inveraray, una antigua prisión que ahora es una atracción turística. Elija participar en un recorrido opcional allí y aproveche al máximo su pausa para el almuerzo visitando el encantador pueblo que cuenta con hermosas vistas del lago Fyne.

The tour was very well-organized and our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. Regrettably, the Doune Castle was closed. However, the guide arranged to visit the Kelpies instead. Nice sculptures. Fantastic Inveraray Castle. The rest and be thankful in Scotland was breathtaking and unforgettable. The last stop - natural features in Luss were beautiful also. Adequate time for exploration.

Our tour guide, Alistair, was a knowledgeable and entertaining storyteller and historian, filling us in on the history of the places and people we were visiting. I also appreciated his eclectic music playlist and skillful navigation of the narrow roads!

We had so much fun on this day trip. The natural scenery was breathtaking and dramatic in autumn, different colors interspersed with forests, lakes and mountains. Our guide Ali P was very friendly and knowledgeable and had a killer of a Scottish-inspired playlist 👌 The castles were like a time capsule and really bring on the atmosphere of a movie /novel, and it was cool we found out about some shows shot in Doune Castle 🍀 All in all, highly recommended and would repeat gladly 🌈

During my weeklong trip to Edinburgh, I wanted a chance to see outside of the city and get a feel for the Highlands. This was the perfect choice! I chose the West Highlands day tour because you got a mix of everything - beautiful Highlands scenery, castles, lochs and small towns/villages. There wasn't too much bus time at once, often 45 min-1 hour before reaching the next destination. Tiegan was a wonderful tour guide and was so knowledgeable and entertaining during the drive. The roads can be a bit windy, so if you tend to get car sick, try to get there early in the morning to get a seat up front on the bus! The only thing I'd change is to have just a bit more time at each tour stop, but overall I really enjoyed it and think its well worth the price!
