Merzouga es una pequeña ciudad marroquí en el desierto del Sahara, cerca de la frontera con Argelia. Se conoce como una puerta de entrada a Erg Chebbi, una gran extensión de dunas de arena al norte de la ciudad. Al oeste de Merzouga, Dayet Srji es un lago salado estacional que a menudo se seca en verano.
