Saliendo después del desayuno, acompañados por su guía, nos acercaremos a un pueblo intacto cerca de la ciudad de Angkor Thom en tuk-tuk (carrito motorizado) y aprenderemos sobre la vida cotidiana de la gente local. Continuar su viaje a pie (esto tomará aproximadamente 1 hora con aproximadamente 3 km sobre terreno plano) le brinda la oportunidad perfecta para salir del camino trillado y obtener una mejor comprensión de la vida local de Camboya, junto con una perspectiva del Khmer tradicional. cultura.
Continuar por la cabeza hacia el norte hacia Angkor Thom. Este majestuoso sitio una vez sirvió como la ciudad capital reluciente del Imperio Khmer. Tómese un momento para considerar su grandiosidad antes de aventurarse dentro de la ciudad. Al llegar al templo de Bayon, aprecie sus torres centrales bellamente diseñadas y cubiertas con más de 200 caras enormes.

Construido en el siglo XII, el templo tardó 30 años en construirse y representa a la civilización jemer en su máxima expresión. The tour guide and driver (both called Samnang/Lucky) truly made the experience for us. I was alone but in a group of 11 on the day, they were both welcoming and it was easy to start chatting to the others. Our tour guide Samnang is very knowledgeable and took time explaining everything to us. Thanks to him I felt truly immersed in the City of Temples and he also took some great photos of us. The Sunset mini hike (10-15 mins) and view from the top was a lovely relaxing end to the day and definitely worth it. Throughout the day they had plenty of chilled water and also cold towels for us, all at no extra cost. I would absolutely recommend Journey Cambodia and especially the two Samnangs!

The Angkor Wat was perfect. And the reason I say this is the excellent guide Sak who explained to us in perfect English everything about the great temple. I personally thank him as well as the driver who returned me to the hotel in the middle of the excursion free of charge, because I felt unwell due to the heat. I definitely recommend it !!!
