La más grande de varios cientos de cisternas bizantinas antiguas construidas por el emperador bizantino Justiniano I (527-565). Enorme fuente romana de agua subterránea sostenida por 336 columnas de mármol que ocupan 9800 metros cuadrados.
Un sitio turístico popular, se encuentra junto a Hagia Sophia y continúa funcionando como mezquita en la actualidad. La Mezquita Azul, como se la conoce popularmente, fue construida entre 1609 y 1616 durante el gobierno de Ahmed I. Azulejos azules pintados a mano adornan las paredes interiores de la mezquita. La Mezquita del Sultán Ahmed tiene cinco cúpulas principales, seis minaretes y ocho cúpulas secundarias con arquitectura tradicional otomana y se considera la última gran mezquita del período clásico.
El Hipódromo de Constantinopla fue un circo que fue el centro deportivo y social de Constantinopla. Hoy es una plaza con algunos fragmentos de la estructura original sobreviviente. The underground water cistern with its beautiful columns was my favorite part of the tour. Coming from my hotel, I didn’t realize I needed to take a ferry to the meeting point—that was completely my mistake. I arrived about 30 minutes late, but my host was easy to communicate with and went out of their way to meet me after I missed the first stop. I really appreciated their flexibility and excellent customer service.
We had a great time exploring the city with our guide. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and knew exactly what to do to heighten our experience. It was so hot outside and there was a long line at the Blue Mosque - he let us wait in the shade while he held our place in the sun. It was a very kind gesture and we appreciated that.

Beautiful experience, not only do you get to see some of the main beauties in Istanbul you get Ana amazing look into the streets/shops around the city, and you are left in the most perfect part of town to continue exploring, our tour guide was a delight and very knowledgeable!
It's beautiful. The visit is quite quick 20-30 min. Hardly any information. Unfortunately the price of 40 euros seems to me quite unjustified and it should be added if you want the audio guide. For some monuments in Istanbul, the tourist is mistaken for a cash cow
