Max, the guide is great and a sweet guy too for doing the tour after I had said I would probably cancel due to some back pain and muscle cramps. The thing is it was really not the experience I had signed up for. I had wanted a personalized neighborhood tour, the kind where someone can show you all sorts of unique things that are present in those parts of the city and not just large iconic historically significant statues and buildings. Those types of experiences are things I expect on a generalized tour. We did not venture off of major avenues or thorough fairs except to visit parks. I had requested to see areas where nature thrived in an urban setting but I meant places that would’ve been much smaller and more unique. I guess the whole tour really did not give me any feeling for the personalities of these two neighborhoods and I was really counting on getting into some appropriately cool vibes that you see in special places where design virtues and other unique factors make places like these standout against a homogenized world.
