City Tour Las Palmas y Alrededores

Picked up on time and great tour around the old town, Santa Catalina. Interesting visit to the volcanic crater and the botanical gardens too.

If you look for bus drive to overpay about 30 euros you found a right place. Yesterday we participate excursion. The guide and company didn't get nessesary information so when we came to Botanical Garden we found closed parking for buses (but pedestrian entrance open to sightseeing) still they have decided to skip this point of the trip(the only reason why we booked this trip and payed 70 euro) instead of that we had more time in capitol to wander alone without any guide or interesting historical facts. I recommend to find local bus to Las Palmas, to get same experience cost about 2.5 euro. In Vulcano area you get 10 min not 1 hour as stated. Unfortunately company didn't feel like compensate a bit of cost for destroyed trip and not fulfilled program. Poor handling of customers. Big no.

Would recommend the trip. Good guide who alternated between English, Spanish, (another language, sorry cannot remember) to accomodate all parties that were there. We had plenty of time at each location. Would actually do the tour again, next time i go to GC.

Don't book this tour. The tour operator cancelled our booking the night before our tour, saying they could not accommodate due to capacity issues. We had booked this trip a month before and for them to say this the night before indicates they either didn't bother doing the tour or took a different group that booked last minute instead. Absolute time wasters AVOID. Those looking for a similar tour can find a good one we found that has more than a handful of reviews like this one does, that other tour was great, and they laughed about us booking this tour originally as the tour guide here is known for being useless.

Too much time spent on bus, content and sites were not interesting or impressive. It was confusing with 4 different languages to cover. Botanical Garden was disappointing with most of plants and flowers can be seen through out the island. This was not really a guided tour since we were dropped off and to roam around without much suggestion or info. We do not recommend this tour.

Very informative and detailed tour. You’re given a specific time in each location. Tour guide worked extremely hard to give out information about areas in five languages! Was super friendly also. Would recommend to see a different part of the island

Tour did not take place due to low attendance. Very sad, I was really looking forward to it. 48 h before the money still debited and 24 h before tour cancelled. Didn't you already know very well that this is not going to happen?

A good way to see Las Palmas and surroundings, finding places you would not find on your own. Pick up at your hotel, with everything organised very well. Be warned that an hour into the trip we were still circling Playa des Ingles picking up people. Driver was Fran & our guide was Julia. She has a huge amount of information, delivered very ably in English, German & Spanish. Sufficient to say she never stopped talking from we had completed the pick ups until it was time to leave everyone home again. (Perhaps a little too much) Very impressed that when the coach developed a fault approaching the botanic gardens, by the time we had done the visit, a replacement coach had arrived for us - very slick. Too be critical, by the time we had done the walking tour(with commentary) at Vegueta, there was little time to see around on your own. Bandama & Botanic Gardens are what they say on the tin. Free time around Las Arenas shopping centre / Las Canteras beach didn’t really work for us. Shopping Centre is a sprawling area, just like any other centre, and the beach is small, rough & rocky. A bit of guidance on lunch spots in the area would be useful - we had a terrible experience in shopping centre restaurant
