Juan 136 was very knowledgeable as tour guide. I paid a little more to pick us up from our resort and the convenience factor made it worth it. I have taken other trips to chichen itza before where they pick u up in a big bus and make every stop possible to drain u of your money not here, they picked us up in a shuttle bus early, then we picked up a couple other passengers along the way and off we went, straight to the point. No useless stops, we beat the crowds and most of the extreme weather(it was August after all). The price point is on average of what others charge but the straight to the pyramid is what sold me and didn't disappoint, got back to my resort by 2pm and was still able to enjoy the rest of my day at the resort . Comparing my previous experience from before and this one, was night and day. I want to see the pyramid and that was it....I didn't want to stop and buy trinkets every hour and this did not disappoint.
Our tour of Chichenitza was really great! Our tour guide Pastor was extremely knowledgeable and gave a great tour and answered all of our questions. Our driver Jose did a great job. We felt very safe the whole trip.
Pastor was a great guide and had some interesting and great stories to share. He was very accommodating and welcoming.

We're delighted to know you enjoyed the early access experience at Chichén Itzá and that the stories and insights shared throughout the tour made your visit even more memorable. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another adventure. Kind regards, Amigo Tours Quality Team
Pickup at 8:55 AM at Plaza Las Perlas. I arrived before the time. At 8:55 I wrote to them letting them know that I was at the spot and that I did not see anyone. At 8:58 they replied to me "the bus is already on its way, it will arrive in less than 5 minutes" — that is, they were not there at the agreed-upon time. At 9:09 I wrote again: they never notified me that they had arrived, despite having the chat open and my phone number. Furthermore, they had given me two different pickup points: one by email via GetYourGuide and another by WhatsApp. I missed the 99 USD tour and now they are charging me a 21 USD penalty to reschedule. The phone support was rude. Be careful with this company's communication.
Dear Customer, We are sorry that you were unable to join the tour. Our records confirm that the meeting point shared via WhatsApp was the correct one and that our team proceeded to that location. As shared tours operate on a strict schedule, guests must remain visible and ready for pickup once the vehicle arrives, as it cannot wait indefinitely out of respect for all travelers. We appreciate your feedback. Greetings from the Amigo Tours Quality Team
Julio Rodrigo Juan did a great job!
It was a great experience! Our guide Alberto was amazing for the entire trip there. He was very pleasant and made the trip interesting. He helped us take pictures at great locations.
The amount of money paid for this trip was actually very decent because the tour guide was great and the ride there was very smooth. Since we booked an early tour there were little to no people and we got to see the sites and our guide took great pictures of us!
The tour here was the whole reason we took a trip to Mexico. I loved almost everything about the tour, from the zest of the guide for local history, to our bus tour guide who was very funny, to the smooth navigation of the bus driver. Getting to the Yucatan early was essential in not completely frying, as the temps peaked around 108 degrees that day. We went to a Cenote after and the cool water was absolutely welcome and needed. I think the only negatives were that there were a lot of moments that made us feel very pressured to spend or buy. I think that the tour company had some partnerships throughout, so many moments on the bus felt like a little sales pitch for a local. I get it, but it became overwhelming at times, between the star charts that were being sold to the pictures with a parrot that were thrust upon guests, to even just tipping after the tour was over (we would've tipped, surely, but the pressure was piled throughout for not only tips, but BIG tips).
Excellent the topic of punctuality. Not only the departure time to Chichen Itza, but there is also a schedule for everything: to arrive there, for the tour, for shopping, and for returning. The only thing I did not like is that I was the only person who had selected Spanish in the reservation, and the guide spoke in English the entire time. In Chichen Itza, I missed a large part of the explanations for this reason. To understand, I had to look for the guide after each explanation and ask him to please tell me in Spanish what he had mentioned; he did it briefly and quickly. I had to be behind him asking for the explanation in Spanish. This ended up bothering me, and I mentioned it to the guide respectfully; he did not say anything to me, but after that, he started giving explanations and instructions in both languages simultaneously. I would have appreciated it if it had been this way from the beginning and if they took into account the language selection that one makes when booking. Aside from everything else, it was very good; the energy of the guide Manuel Tequila was very good, and his comments and explanations were very good and entertaining.
Interesting sites with well organized tour. Guide Manuel and driver Alfred were professional and nice. Pickup was smooth and ontime and van was nicely air conditioned. Recommend.
