Wat Phra Singh es uno de los templos más famosos y atractivos dentro de la antigua ciudad amurallada de Chiang Mai. El templo, también conocido como "El Monasterio del Buda León", es un templo activo, con muchos monjes y novicios viviendo allí. Wat Phra Singh se remonta al siglo XIV, cuando Chiang Mai era la capital del Reino de Lanna, y es uno de los mejores ejemplos de la arquitectura clásica de templos de estilo Lanna.
Wat Phan Tao es uno de los templos más antiguos de Chiang Mai. Las primeras estructuras del templo se construyeron probablemente a finales del siglo XIV. Ubicado dentro de la antigua ciudad amurallada, justo al lado de Wat Chedi Luang, Wat Phan Tao es bien conocido por su exquisito 'viharn' de estilo Lanna, la sala de ordenación, completamente hecha de madera de teca sobre una base de piedra.
Wat Chedi Luang, también conocido como “El templo de la Gran Stupa”, es una impresionante ruina de templo. La construcción del templo duró desde 1391 hasta 1475. El enorme y muy impresionante chedi (pagoda) que domina el área es su característica más destacada. Wat Chedi Luang también es famoso por albergar una vez al Buda Esmeralda, una de las reliquias religiosas más importantes de Tailandia, que ahora se puede encontrar en Wat Phra Kaew en Bangkok.

Our family went on the Tuk Tuk tour this evening and really enjoyed it. We had two tuk tuks between us and had a race between them, which our children loved.
