Pleasant camel ride through Maspalomas

30-40 minute camel circuit through the Maspalomas area. The Dunes can be seen in the distance. The guides are very friendly and make the experience pleasant. The excursion is nothing to write home about, it's mostly just to have the experience of riding a camel with the family. Depending on the time of year you go, it is recommended to wear a hat to protect yourself from the sun.

Brilliant!

Lovely ride through the dunes. My 16 year old absolutely loves camels so he was happy. Staff so friendly and even takes photos for you with your phone.

Enjoyable family activity

Unusual but enjoyable activity for the family. Get there early to keep wait times to a minimum as it’s first come basis with rides starting every 30 mins.

Satisfied

Knowing that from the entrance where they leave the car there is no signage to get to the administration

PLEASE DO NOT GO

Went with friends last week. Instant regret the moment we got there, one of our party cried. The camels are tied together so closely their heads are touching the bum of the one in front. The camels looked so sad. Even though we had an arrival time slot you still have to then queue, we had to wait a further hour and 10 minutes. We were close to leaving and stupidly we continued with it as we had pre paid anyway so felt walking out wouldn’t impact the business as they had our money already. The camels appeared tired and overworked with whip scars on their legs (not sure how this company meets animal welfare standards) the men walking alongside the vast row of camels were picking up sticks and whipping the camels to keep them moving. I got upset and made it known I was watching him and didn’t approve of what he was doing to the camel in front of me. I feel massively guilty for contributing to this animal abuse. Please learn from my experience and don’t go.

Delighted

A unique experience, truly very happy with the tour. My daughter was delighted and my husband as well. I would recommend it a thousand times over.

Solid experience

⭐⭐⭐ Solid experience with great guides, but room for improvement at the reception We tried camel riding in the dunes of Maspalomas. It is a real change of pace and an experience that you won't soon forget. Arrival & Location: A small tip in advance: The farm is actually a bit difficult to find. You should orient yourself on the map beforehand or plan a little more time for the search, as the signage could be better. Animal welfare: We particularly noticed that they seem to take very good care of the animals here. It was nice to see that the camels are allowed regular breaks and are not in use nonstop. That gave us a good feeling. On-site staff: A big compliment goes to the staff who walk along with the tour and guide the animals. The guides were consistently super friendly, in a good mood, and made the whole thing very pleasant. Point of criticism reception: A small downside, however, was the start. The staff at the reception or ticket counter was unfortunately anything but welcoming. Here you are processed rather coldly and distantly – friendliness and a welcoming feeling could definitely still be worked on here. Conclusion: The tour itself is fun, the guides along the way are great, and the treatment of the animals seemed responsible. Once you have found the farm and look past the somewhat chilly reception, it is a truly beautiful experience!

Great camel ride...

Great camel ride experience! Everything was well organized and the staff were friendly. The ride itself was enjoyable and worth doing. My only advice is to go early in the morning, as later in the day you may have to wait a while for your turn.
