Su recorrido comienza en Fort Hays Chuckwagon al registrarse en el edificio de la sede de Fort Hays entre las 7:45-8 am para obtener sus boletos impresos con el autobús asignado para el día.
El autobús sale a las 9 am y se dirige al Monte Rushmore! Tendrá un poco más de una hora para observar su propia comodidad y disfrutar de los lugares y la belleza por los que vino a Dakota del Sur. Primero nos detenemos aquí porque el Monte Rushmore está en su mejor momento en el sol de la mañana. Gutzon Borglum esculpió esta montaña orientada al este hacia el sol de la mañana y pretendía que se viera de esta manera.
Después de dejar Mount Rushmore, viajaremos por Iron Mountain Road. Un hermoso camino de 17 millas de impresionantes paisajes con 3 túneles de un carril que enmarcan perfectamente el Monte Rushmore.
Nos detenemos para almorzar en el parque estatal Custer en Game Lodge y en la Casa Blanca del verano anterior para el presidente Calvin Coolidge. Prueba el estofado de búfalo, ¡es lo mejor que encontrarás!
Después del almuerzo salimos para la carretera Needles. Este recorrido panorámico de 14 millas te dejará sin aliento y asombrado por la increíble belleza de Black Hills. Siéntate y disfruta del paseo y observa cómo se agolpa la multitud cuando conducimos el autobús a través del túnel Needles Eye Tunnel. Con solo unos centímetros de repuesto en cada lado del autobús, puede saborear el hecho de que usted no es el que conduce.
Haga una parada para descansar y tomar un café en el hermoso lago Sylvan. Esta es una de las joyas de la corona de Custer State Park y la belleza dentro de él.

This day trip was excellent. Our tour guide Billy was top-notch A+. He’s been doing this to her for 10 years. He is very knowledgeable and gives historical information, details on the area the entire trip. Plenty of stops for photo opportunities. Do not hesitate to take the bus tour. Do you get to be the passenger, take plenty of photos and videos while being driven, and also get a lot of information that otherwise you would not know if I just taking a private car ride through these areas. We were lucky and saw a huge heard of Buffalo in Custer State Park after lunch. Billy even inquired over lunch to find out if the buffalo were out and was going to take us to the location where they were at so we could view them. Would recommend this to her.
We had a fantastic time on our tour. Our guide Dan was great. He gave us a lot of history on each of our stops along with always checking to make our visit better. I will definitely recommend it to others.
This is a great option to see multiple national parks/monument’s in one day and you don’t have to do the driving which is a plus in my book. Dan our tour guide/driver was very knowledgeable and hilarious!

It was an awesome experience, and Billy told us lots of info about the area. I’m glad we took this instead of trying to drive through all those curvy roads! We did not eat breakfast there, and there is no reason to have to be there so early and then just hang around waiting.
The bus tour was great and the guide was very knowledgeable! It’s not a high intensity tour-very easy to manage even with mobility issues.
