Tour en bicicleta / E-bike : Plateau, Mile-End, Jean-Talon Market by Fitz

Lots of fun.....take the e-bike if you're unfit like me although there are very few hills. Darren was very informative
Friendly guide and great introduction
We had an outstanding experience with Fitz Bike Tours! Before our trip, I called because we were traveling with our 11- and 15-year-old sons and wanted a ride that would be interesting, safe, and enjoyable for the whole family. The staff member I spoke with recommended the Hidden Gems Tour and even helped us book it over the phone. After taking an Uber to the meeting point, we were greeted by our guide, Martin, who was warm, joyful, and welcoming from the very first moment. He learned everyone's names, walked us over to a map to orient us to Montreal, and shared just enough history to get us excited before we even got on our bikes. The bikes and helmets were in excellent condition, and Martin made sure everyone was properly fitted before we headed out. Throughout the ride, he was incredibly attentive, always making sure our family was safe, keeping the group together, and checking that no one got left behind. As parents riding in an unfamiliar city with kids, we really appreciated that. The tour itself was fantastic. We rode through beautiful, colorful neighborhoods and stopped at places that were both historically significant and genuinely interesting. One highlight was visiting one of Montreal's oldest bagel shops! Martin's love for the city he grew up in was contagious. He wasn't just reciting facts—he was sharing stories and showing us the places that make Montreal special. He also gave us about 30 minutes to explore Jean-Talon Market, where we had the most incredible sorbet and some unbelievably fresh cherries. Between the food, the neighborhoods, the history, and the people-watching, we found ourselves falling in love with Montreal. Our 11-year-old had a blast. Our 15-year-old loved it. My husband and I appreciated all the history and local insight. By the end of the tour, we were already talking about coming back—and even joking that maybe one of our sons should go to university here someday! Martin is an exceptional guide and a wonderful ambassador for Montreal. If you're looking for a bike tour that feels authentic, safe, and memorable, I can't recommend Fitz Bike Tours highly enough.
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a detailed and heartfelt review! Hearing how much your whole family enjoyed the Hidden Gems Tour—from your 11- and 15-year-old sons to you and your husband—absolutely makes our day. Finding an activity that genuinely engages both kids and parents can be a balancing act, so we are thrilled that the phone recommendation hit the mark! Martin is truly special. As a Montréal native, his genuine love and enthusiasm for his hometown shine through in everything he does. He will be so touched to read your kind words about his warm welcome, his safety-first approach, and the way he brought the city's stories to life. Stopping for fresh bagels, exploring the vibrant flavors at Jean-Talon Market, and soaking in the colorful neighborhoods is what exploring Montréal is all about! And we love to hear that you're already considering one of our local universities for the future—Montréal would be lucky to have them! Thank you for trusting us with your family's time in the city. Martin and the rest of the Fitz team hope to welcome you all back for another ride next time you visit! 🚲✨
My wife and I have found that a bike tour is a nice way to see the neighborhoods of a city so this is a regular thing for us. We got to see a number of interesting areas and eat a bit of food as well. The guide was informative. If you are looking for a real bike ride this is probably not for you but if you want a relaxing tour this is it.

5 stars all day. This was INCREDIBLE. Small group, bikes were super comfortable and made the hills effortless, and Fitz's team knows how to show you the Montreal most tourists miss. We rode through the Plateau with those beautiful colorful houses (like in the photo), Mile-End for street art, Little Italy and finished at Jean-Talon Market. Great mix of history, culture and food stops - including the famous Montreal bagel. Rodrigo was knowledgeable, professional, set an easy pace and made this 100% worth it. If you do one tour in Montreal, do this one.
