This was a great Pittsburgh history lesson. Ken was very knowledgeable and had many great stories
Great tour. Ken is excellent and has a lot of information to share. He certainly has a passion for Pittsburgh and its history. Tour is at a very comfortable pace and covers a lot of downtown. Highly recommend.
We were first time visitors to Pittsburgh and this is an excellent way to get your bearings and an understanding of how this city came to be and what has become now. Can our Tour Guide was articulate intelligent and Will informed and he gave us a lot of good history with a bonus focus on all the great architecture in the city and it was all peppered with humorous anecdotal stories about the characters and personalities that made Pittsburgh what it is today I would highly recommend this tour to anyone as well as their biking tour which I will review in another section.
Lots of great information about the history of Pittsburgh. But this could also be described as an architectural tour due to all of the fine buildings that you go by or go in. Our guide was very informative and fun.
Our guide, Ken, was incredibly knowledgeable and really brought the local history to life with engaging stories. Even though we’ve been to Pittsburgh a few times before, we learned so much on this tour and came away with a much deeper appreciation for the city. Highly recommend!
Ken was awesome!! Very knowledgeable
"Walk the Burg Tour" is a great way to show family and friends Pittsburgh and its interesting history. This is the second time Ken was the tour guide for visiting family. His knowledge is extensive and his presentation is excellent. He covers important facts broadly then returns to delve deeper. This technique helps to really appreciate and understand the interesting history that we have in Pittsburgh. I once again came away from this tour loving this city, I have called home for more than 30 years, even more!
I had Ken for a Best of the Burgh tour. He was absolutely excellent. Ken was probably the first friendly person that my spouse and I encountered in Pittsburgh, fortunately. He almost saved our trip. His patience, clearly genuine enthusiasm for the rich history of the city, and his dedication to his craft were evident in the way he spoke. After doing a bus tour the day before with the The Pittsburgh Tour Company, where, while helpful, everything felt a little scripted and robotic, this walking tour on such a nice day helped turn around what was becoming a pretty disappointing vacation. I really appreciate this company and the people it hires, and would definitely recommend any tour that they offer if you're considering one.
This is a fantastic walking tour. We were a very small group of three and Alan did an exceptional job of giving us the history of the area and pointing out little interesting things we would have never seen on our own. Highly recommend!
The guide was very informative.Lots of old buildings. Overall it was a view of the city I would not have seen before.
