¿Alguna vez has soñado con liberar tortugas bebés al mar? Las tortugas vienen a desovar a Puerto Escondido y sus alrededores durante todo el año.. Sin embargo, sin la intervención humana, solo unas pocas de estas increíbles criaturas sobrevivirán en los días posteriores a su nacimiento.. Participa en ayudar a las organizaciones locales a preservar las tortugas.. Te recogeremos en tu hotel por la tarde para llegar a nuestra playa para la puesta de sol.. Allí, participarás en la liberación de las crías de tortuga en su entorno natural. Te llevaremos de regreso a tu casa lleno de recuerdos inolvidables!!!

En Playa Bacocho, a tan sólo cuatro kilómetros de la bahía principal, podrás realizar una actividad emocionante y que es capaz de conmover a todos. Se trata de la liberación de tortugas recién nacidas. Todos los días a las cinco de la tarde durante el atardecer podemos apoyar a la naturaleza, al llegar al campamento se explica todo lo relacionado con la liberación, nos entregan la tortuga recién 30 minutos que salió del huevo, te prestan una jícara con ella adentro y te diriges a la playa hasta la línea de meta donde la podrás al soltar y ella solita tendrá que caminar al mar.. Aquí está incluido el tiempo que tardaremos para llegar a la zona donde realizaremos la actividad, desde los hoteles de los pasajeros.

It was a great experience. We learned about the 4 species of turtles that the group releases. The turtles we released were dolphin turtles, which were the most common type in this part of the pacific ocean. This is a chill and relaxing activity. Pretty cool playing a part in releasing the turtles into their natural habitat. Staff was also vigilent to assit with keeping the birds away so that the process was a sucess. Great experience seeing the turtles race to the water. Very important to regulate the care to maintain the different species. A good informative talk before the release and how they patrol the night each evening. A 27km beach that was amazing. We chose an English presentation but Spanish also available. The van trip was a bit longer than expected since we waited for some people for over 15 minutes. Extremely inconsiderate on their part… nothing to do with the tour.

I had the opportunity to do this turtle release tour in Puerto Escondido and it was a beautiful experience. We arrived at the beach in the evening, explained the process and then each released some turtles to the sea. It was very emotional and special.. It is ideal to do it with your partner!!
