Wonderful family setting, with hosts welcoming guests to their home ! Great experience of the Tuscan farm lifestyle.
Me, my wife and young daughter had a fantastic day, we loved meeting the host and his animals before going into the woods to hunt for truffles. Pasta making was relaxed and the host explained the process very well so even my 9 your old daughter had no problem making her own pasta. The host provided a delicious selection of bread, meet and cheese before enjoying our handmade pasta with whilst tasting his red and white wines, highly recommend this experience.
Wonderful unique experience. 100% recommend.
Amazing experience. Authentic traditional farm with warm greetings from Nicola and his family. Fabulous truffle hunt through the Forrest, truffles shaved that the dog found with us, onto our home made tagliatelle. Incredible lunch and handmade wines. Must do experience
So much fun! Gian Carlo and tabo were very knowledgeable and appreciated their environmentalist approach to truffle hunting. Then the pasta making class with Niccolo was so much fun! Definitely want to buy my own pasta maker now. My parents were worried the truffle hunting might be too outdoorsy for them, but it wasn't nearly as intense as they had thought, plus we found a good amount!
Simply unmissable. This is genuinely one of the top five experiences I’ve had in Italy in over 30 years of visiting. It’s a true family-run farm offering an authentic truffle hunt and hands‑on cooking experience — nothing staged, nothing commercial, just real hospitality. You’re welcomed straight into the family’s cottage, where the outdoor verandah and cooking area overlook a beautiful valley. The setting is simple, rustic, and absolutely charming. Niccolò is a fantastic host. He teaches the art of making fresh pasta with patience and humour, then treats you to an exceptional antipasto spread paired with the family's own wine. Finally, you enjoy the pasta you’ve made, generously topped with fresh truffle — unforgettable. The truffle dog, Tabbu (a Lagotto), is friendly, energetic, and clearly loves his work. His owner, a licensed truffle hunter, takes the time to explain everything about truffles, the forest, and how these remarkable dogs are trained. Take the time to enjoy this relaxed, authentic, and deeply memorable experience. It’s the kind of encounter that stays with you long after you’ve left Italy.
My husband and I absolutely loved our time with Fabrizio and his family! The short hike in the woods for truffle hunting was peaceful and beautiful. It was so fun watching and learning from the truffle hunter and his sweet and energetic dog! We found plenty of truffles for the delicious lunch we had later in the day. After the hunt, we came back to the farm and made pasta as a group, and then gathered for a lunch of one of the most impressive charcuterie boards I have ever seen, before eating the pasta we just made. All overlooking the idyllic Tuscan countryside. Truly an incredible experience that I highly recommend.
An amazing experience, absolutely authentic and some of the best food we have had in Italy. Genuine hosts and very knowledgeable. Our children had a 10/10 experience
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had in my life . They were all so welcoming and kind . The experience is 100% worth the try . Highly recommend.
I take time to write reviews when the experience has been above expectations and meant to be known to others. Such is the case with my recent visit to Cofferi 1242 for a truffle hunt and pasta class with lunch. Be prepared for an afternoon full of adventure and experience at this delightful location. The offering is authentic and beautiful in the Tuscan countryside surrounded by wine fields, olive groves and forest. We begin the adventure with a truffle hunt with an experienced dog and its handler searching for the “black gold”. It was enjoyable to do the hunt and be in nature and learn all about truffles. After our truffle hunt, and the dog did find some, we were brought to an outside terrace location to make pasta over the beautiful landscape. Then after we have made the pasta, we are then taken to sit for our lunch on a terrace over the Olive groves where we enjoyed a meal of Truffle pasta and other delicious foods. This for me, was a truly special Tuscan experience. I was a part of a Tour called Brix -in Italy experience. This visit was a part of an organized tour curated by Brix, Moncton N.B. Canada.
