From there, the journey continues to Buffalo Trace Distillery, one of the oldest continuously operating distilleries in the United States and a cornerstone of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. The Buffalo Trace distillery is one of the most famous in Kentucky at the age of 200. Throughout the challenges of floods, fires, tornadoes and even Prohibition, the American family-owned Buffalo Trace Distillery has never compromised. A timeless dedication to respecting the past while fearlessly innovating for the future has served us well for more than two centuries. No matter the challenge, be it Mother Nature or man, the people of our Distillery have been part of the story that shaped America and the spirit industry as well.
Churchill Downs is a horse racing complex in South Louisville, Kentucky, United States, which hosts the annual Kentucky Derby. It opened in 1875 and was named after Samuel Churchill, whose family was prominent in Kentucky for many years. See world-famous Churchill Downs Racetrack! Walk through the Grandstands where thousands of people roar with excitement on Derby Day. Your Tour Guide will lead you to the rail of the legendary dirt track where every Derby winner has raced, from Aristides to Secretariat, and many more. Your Guide will share stories of the early days of the Kentucky Derby through its transformation into the iconic event it is today.

We had a great day! We enjoyed our Driver Belkis very much. They were able to get us tour tickets when we were unable to do so on her own and the ease of being dropped off close and not having to park and drive was wonderful. We ended up with a rainy day so that let us relax on the trip. You recommend this tour. !

Our driver Yoel was prompt for each of our pickups and very professional. The tickets were handled for us in advance, and we had no issues accessing either of the tours. The Buffalo Trace Tour and Tastings were great and allowed for some time in the gift shop afterwards. We were fortunate enough to see a race at Churchill Downs! Having transportation from our hotel in Louisville was wonderful. The trip to Buffalo Trace is about an hour, and we loved just getting to relax both directions. We were the only two couples on our trip. We will definitely be recommending this tour to friends.

Tour operator; B & C did fine. Performed as promised. On time, nice vehicle, courteous driver. Was disappointed with both Churchill Downs and Bufallo Trace. We thought we'd see more at CD. Viewed entrance area and grandstand, but only briefly. Buffalo Trace as a long drive-over an hour from Louisville. They didn't show the process of making the mash, fermenting it and then distilling it. We thought the tour of Jack Daniel's distillery in TN was much better. So, we wouldn't recommend the tour.

“Our experience was absolutely excellent! Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. We visited Churchill Downs and Buffalo Trace Distillery, and both stops were amazing. The vehicles were very clean, comfortable, and professional, and our driver was fantastic—friendly, punctual, and very knowledgeable. The whole day ran smoothly and we were able to fully enjoy the experience without worrying about anything. I highly recommend this company if you’re planning a bourbon tour or visiting Louisville. Title: Nice tour and great bourbon Really enjoyed this tour while visiting Louisville. Buffalo Trace was definitely the highlight — it was cool to see the distillery and learn a bit about how bourbon is made. The tasting at the end was great too. Churchill Downs was also interesting to see in person. Even if you’re not big into horse racing, it’s one of those places that’s nice to visit at least once. Overall a fun and easy day out. I’d recommend it if you’re in the area and want to experience a bit of Kentucky culture.

While we enjoyed the tours I felt this did not live up to the price. First of all, the van was horrible. Vent covers were missing, the floor was dirty(I do have pictures), the seats were cloth and worn, the shocks were horrible. We felt every bump and I came home with a big bruise to prove it. Usually, for this kind tour a Mercedes Sprinter van is used. The one we rode in was far from that. We were rushed at Churchill Downs and at Woodford Reserve our tour was pushed back without asking us if that was ok. It did affect later plans. On the whole, just not a great experience.
Thanks for your feedback! Our system tells us that the car assigned to your group of six was a 2024 Ford Transit with 19,750 miles and a capacity of 15 people. It's impossible for it to have any mechanical problems, much less a comfort issue, since it's a van with a capacity of 15 people, and your group was only six. Our company is responsible for cleaning and disinfecting our vehicles on every trip. Your driver assigned for your day was at your pickup location 15 minutes before the pickup time, and your coordinator had to contact you because your group wasn't there at the designated time. Your group was 15 minutes late at pickup, which led to a delay in your entire trip. Your coordinator had to change all of your trip times so that your group could have the best possible experience, even with the delay in your pickup. At Churchill Downs, you had 30 minutes to enjoy the area before the tour started and 20 minutes afterward. At Buffalo Trace Distillery, you had 45 minutes to enjoy the area before the tour started and 30 minutes afterward. I don't see the problem you mentioned in your review because your coordinator resolved the issue caused by your group being late for pickup. We enjoyed the Hard Hat tour on our trip. Our leader, Lee, was informative and personable. He shared personal experiences along with history of Buffalo Trace. The buildings are original in most cases which added to the experience.
