Aventura de esnórquel en el arrecife de Roatán

We absolutely loved this excursion. We booked through Trip Advisor as opposed to the cruise line and wound up in a small group…which we loved! We skipped through the crowds at the port and got directed to the ROA people. Our driver took good care of us and got us to the dock for this amazing excursion. The captain and the guide know the reef and the are well. We saw all kinds of marine life and just enjoyed this fantastic opportunity to see a lot of the reef in three different spots. We were dropped at Brady’s Cay where we enjoyed drinks (get the Monkey La La) and excellent beef nachos. The beach area was very clean and the water was crystal clear. This was the second of three excursions we booked through Trip Advisor for this trip and we would book it again in the future.

We had a great time on this snorkel excursion. My goal was to see this 2nd largest barrier reef, and the view and tour exceeded my expectations. Instructions for pickup were given the night before. Herman provided some details along the drive and answered our questions. The starting point for snorkeling was right next to the reef. Norman was a great guide in the water. We are not frequent snorkelers, but he gave just the right amount of instruction, pointing out different fish, and keeping out of the shallow areas, while allowing us to snorkel on our own. We also had time to see a shipwreck. Would highly recommend ROA.

The staff were super friendly and the snorkeling was beautiful! My teenager is not the biggest fan of swimming, but he was able to wear a life jacket and the staff made him feel very comfortable.

Where do I start with this AMAZING company??? The second we got off the cruise ship and left the port, someone was waiting for us and walked us to meet our driver for the day. Her name was Norma, and she was INCREDIBLE! She escorted us to where we were going to snorkel and asked us if we heard about the monkey and sloth sanctuary, which we told her yes, but was not scheduled to go. She then offered to take us there as well if we wanted and it also was incredible! Our guide there was Issac and he was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The monkeys were the highlight and we were laughing hysterically at their antics. We then proceeded to the snorkel spot with Garret and Willie and had our own private snorkel tour of the reef and ended over a shipwreck! Amazing tour and the guts were fantastic! Thank you! After the tour ended, Norma was so waiting for us so we asked her to join us for a lunch on us and she agreed. We ate at a local yacht club and had a delicious lunch. After lunch, she took us to a chocolate factory and coffee shop. Then back to the ship where we departed. We travel a LOT and this was one of the best tours/cruise ports we have ever visited. Not because of what we experienced (which was all fantastic), but because of the PEOPLE of R.O.A. that we spent our day with. Norma, thanks so much for sharing your stories about your personal life and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We talk about you frequently and wish we could show you around our part of the world. We had a snorkel hopping adventure booked but, because of the wind, they agreed to adjust our tour to one stop, at a lower cost, and took us to a beach after and stopped at Macaw Village on the way back to the ship. They were honest - more than they had to be - about conditions to make sure we had a good time. Our guide was amazing. He point out fish, conch and a stingray. Plus, the reef itself was unreal. 10/10 experience

Small group at great spot for snorkeling. Guide told us the names of the fish we saw and the fish were abundant. After snorkeling they took us on a little boat ride to the mangroves where there were lots of birds and iguanas.

Great guides, service and beautiful reef!

This was the highlight of our entire Caribbean trip. We stopped at Roatan on a cruise and decided to book a snorkeling experience rather than do the ship’s version and we couldn’t have been happier. It was a small group and we went to three different parts of the reef and saw an incredible array of corals and fish, mantas, etc, spending at least a half hour in each place, possibly more. We had done an experience in Grand Cayman, but this was far beyond that one. ROA did a wonderful job of making it feel fun and intimate and educational, with a guide pointing out all the different kinds of fish he saw and guiding us along the reef. We got to see the drop off where the reefs drops sharply into the abyss and it was breathtaking. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who loves snorkeling, wildlife, and adventure!

ROA was awesome!! We booked this as an excursion on our recent cruise to Roatan and we super happy with the service. They were incredibly responsive when booking. I initially booked the wrong date and they replied back immediately with a fix. The walk to the meetup place was quick from the cruise terminal and finding them was easy even in that chaos. Brandon was our driver there and back and he told us a little about living in Roatan and his background which we enjoyed! Once there we tried on fins and quickly got on the boat to head out for our first stop. Our snorkel guide was Trey and he was great! Our small group has experienced snorkels but I felt like he was there to help if needed. He pointed out things and kept a great eye on the group. We got a pretty cloudy day but the snorkeling was still beautiful! Our captain was great too and told us a lot about the snorkel or island as we drove to spots. Overall, my husband and I are excited to go back for another excursion with ROA and would 100% recommend!
