Hop on hop bus an easy way way to sight see. The commentary was very informative. The length of time was sufficient to make this a worthwhile experience
The stops of the bus are not well marked (some not at all) which makes it difficult to find them. Also bus hardly gives you time to get downstairs and off
Dear Michael, Thank you for your honest review. We are sorry to hear you had trouble finding some of the stops and that getting off the bus felt rushed. We understand how this can affect the overall experience. Your feedback is very helpful and will be shared with our team so we can improve signage and timing for guests. We appreciate you taking the time to let us know. Kind regards
Very scenic and beautiful bus ride have been on many and there was much competition in this town. Shout out to bus driver Hassan who was not only a good driver, but very knowledgeable, helpful, and able to answer our questions professionally.
Dear Ken, Thank you for your kind review. We are happy you enjoyed exploring Copenhagen from the bus and that you found the ride both scenic and comfortable. It is especially nice to hear that Hassan made such a positive impression with his knowledge and friendly service. We will be sure to share your kind words with him. We hope to welcome you back again on a future visit. Kind regards
Exploring Copenhagen aboard the Red Hop-On Hop-Off Bus was one of the highlights of our visit. The service was exceptionally well organized, making it easy to discover the city’s many attractions at our own pace. The buses were clean, comfortable, and ran frequently, allowing us to hop off to explore and rejoin the route without long waits. The audio commentary was informative and engaging, providing fascinating insights into Copenhagen’s history, architecture, and culture while pointing out landmarks we might otherwise have missed. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and eager to help with directions and recommendations. The route covers all of the city’s major sights, making it an excellent option for first-time visitors as well as those wanting a relaxing overview of Copenhagen. We found it to be outstanding value and a stress-free way to navigate the city. If you’re visiting Copenhagen, I highly recommend the Red Hop-On Hop-Off Bus. It combines convenience, comfort, and excellent service into a memorable sightseeing experience that greatly enhanced our stay. Our Copenhagen canal tour was absolutely outstanding and provided a wonderful perspective of the city from the water. The experience was made truly exceptional by our fantastic curator, Sophie, whose enthusiasm, knowledge, and engaging storytelling brought Copenhagen’s history and landmarks to life. Her warmth and passion made every moment enjoyable, and she struck the perfect balance between education and entertainment. Equally deserving of praise is our boat driver, Paul, who navigated the canals with remarkable skill and professionalism. His smooth handling of the boat allowed everyone to relax and fully appreciate the beautiful scenery, from historic buildings to modern waterfront architecture. Together, Sophie and Paul created an unforgettable experience that felt both informative and welcoming. Their teamwork, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm were evident throughout the journey. This canal tour is an absolute must for anyone visiting Copenhagen. It offers stunning views, fascinating commentary, and first-class service. Many thanks to Sophie and Paul for making our visit so memorable—we would happily take this tour again and recommend it without hesitation.
Dear Stanley, Thank you for your thoughtful review. We are so happy to hear that both the hop-on hop-off bus and the canal tour became highlights of your visit to Copenhagen. It is wonderful to know you enjoyed the flexibility of the bus, the audio commentary and the friendly service from our team. We will also make sure Sophie and Paul receive your kind words—they will be so happy to know they helped make your visit so memorable. Thank you for your recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back for another great experience in the future. Kind regards
Was a bit of confusion about which bus tour we could join, didn’t realise there are various different companies offering different tours. Overall though, this tour was very interesting and we would recommend using it.
Bought tickets in advance which in hindsight was a mistake. The bus altered its route on the days we were there and we never managed to catch one. The tracking app suggested buses were on route but we never saw any. This is obviously a small operation which isn’t clear on the advert. There are several hop-on / hop-off services in Copenhagen. Its main competitor Stromma has more buses and more routes which was a much more practical experience for exploring the city.
Dear Guest, Thank you for your honest feedback. We are sorry to hear that you were not able to make use of the hop-on hop-off service during your visit. We understand how frustrating it must have been. We ahve an app where it is possible to track the buses and boats in real time. Your comments are important to us, and we will share them with our team as we continue working to improve our service and communication. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Kind regards
Where to hop on and hop off as easy to figure out. All the sites that I was hoping to see were on the list. Easy to hop on and hop off and figure out what we were doing. Would recommend it to anyone.
The shuttle from the cruise port to the Little Mermaid worked out. The rest was a disaster. The bus did not get through the traffic. There was a Pokémon event and a bike race through the city. On such a day, one should not offer such a tour for a lot of money. We drove a bit into the city, then got off right in the middle of the street with many others. We walked back to the Little Mermaid since the bus did not arrive quickly enough. We tracked it live via the app and did not want to miss our ship. We only saw a limited amount of the city, what was within walking distance in the few hours we had. On the boat tour, we saw more, but finding the boat dock took a lot of time. The ticket booth was on the other side. Street side and quite a distance from the dock. The boat was neither marked nor was there a sign anywhere. One had to ask several times, and if the boat had not just docked, we would have wandered around further.
Dear Kerstin, Thank you for your honest feedback. We are glad the shuttle from the cruise port to the Little Mermaid worked well for you and that you enjoyed parts of the boat tour. We are sorry the city traffic and event affected your experience and understand your frustration. Your comments about signage are noted and will be shared with the team. Kind regards
We had a great time in copenhagen! Everything went smoothly!! My children lover copenhagen!!!! I enjoyed every minute of it!
The bus portion was fine. But……we booked a bus/boat combo ticket and had a DREADFUL time finding the boat tour. We were told stop 8 was closed, to take stop 9. We discovered stop 9 was open and were told by the driver to get off there. We asked the driver WHERE to catch the boat. He replied that he didn’t know because the regular stop was under construction. Then he said to cross the bridge, turn right and it would:should be “right there”. We did just that. No one could tell us. There was NO signage. We walked the length of that street. We found a boat leaving on a corner, but when we asked the staff if it was the right place we were told in no uncertain impolite and rude terms that it was NOT the boat stop for the hop on hop off ticket. So we kept walking. Everyone we asked looked at us like we were crazy and said they knew nothing about a boat stop. Do we walked ALL THE WAY around that huge pier area to an area where there were boat stops. But each stop claimed no knowledge of a boat for the red sightseeing company. It was boiling hot and we had walked for miles. A red sightseeing bus arrived and we rushed to ask the driver. He told us were were at stop 9. He gave us directions right back to the location the first bus driver told us. He said we must have missed it. So we followed his directions and found ourselves way along that canal side…..no signage…..no one knew anything. So we again walked the length of the canal and made our way back to stop 8. We walked into the red sightseeing office prepared to demand a refund for our non-existent boat tour. Jennifer at that office listened to our story and actually walked us back down the canal street to the same stop we had already visited twice. If not for Jennifer’s friendly help our visit would have been an even worse nightmare. For gosh sakes get some signage out there so others do not have to take a two mile detour from Hell to find the boat
Dear Marilee, Thank you for your detailed feedback. We are sorry to hear about the confusion and frustration you experienced while trying to find the boat departure point. We understand how difficult this must have been, especially in warm weather, and we regret that the signage and instructions were not clear enough during your visit. We are very glad to hear that Jennifer was able to assist you directly and help guide you to the correct location. We will share your comments with our team as we continue working on improving signage and guest information. Kind regards
