Los patios fueron declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 2012. Aunque son hermosos durante todo el año. Durante la Fiesta de los Patios (1 quincena de mayo) visitaremos los Patios de los barrios de San Francisco y Santiago. Estos barrios son muy populares en Córdoba y tienen algunos de los mejores patios del festival.

One of the must sees in Cordoba especially if you love beautiful patios with colorful flowers. Go when the sun is not directly overhead for better photos.

Overall, you can make the same tours by yourself! the leaflet of the organization of the festival is sufficient (see better than what the guide was trying to tell in English, poorly mastered ... anyway all the snippets of sentences:) There is no queue cut and we wait like ordinary visitors to visit the patios!

During the Patios Festival, access to the patios depends entirely on the official organization and the patios themselves, which are public spaces and can naturally involve waiting times due to high visitor demand. The patios are private homes opened to the public during the festival, so there is no fast-track access system. What visitors book and pay for is the guided experience, including the historical and cultural explanations provided by the guide throughout the route. Our guided tour is designed not only to visit the patios, but also to explain their history, traditions and cultural importance, something many visitors appreciate as part of the experience. Excellent well timed and arranged tour. Great guide who obviously knew her stuff. The tour was in Spanish and we know almost no Spanish; but it didn't matter. Great choice of patos visited all with their own feel. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our time was changed to 5 pm and we missed it!! We went at 4:45 and told the lady at the counter that we were there but she didn’t say anything. Unlike the other day when the lady at the counter gave us our headphone told us to be outside 5 mins prior to departure. The girl today was very unprofessional.
We are sorry to hear about what happened. For all our tours, guests are always asked to arrive several minutes in advance so the tour can depart on time, out of respect for the rest of the participants. We also inform everyone to remain in the square so that attendance can be checked just before the tour starts. This was an easy paced and very pleasant experience. Loved our guide, she was really informative and paced the visits really well. Patios are divine and totally recommend. 5pm was a good time at the end of the day.

The sights we saw are privately owned remember to be polite to the owners if you meet them they are very friendly, and helpful . It's quite an edecucational and delightful experience!
