The food is good and the young man was very kind, but for what the food costs, it is a bit too expensive; if you do it alone, it costs a quarter or even less.
Amazing few hours spent finding some places we never would have. Food walking tours are the best way to really see an area. My sister who was scared crapless to leave the resort had a blast and was totally comfortable.
Not only was the food amazing, we had a wonderful time with our guide, Jon B. He was friendly, knowledgeable, fun and just all-around enjoyable! Everyone in our group (6 of us) ranked this tour as one of our favorites. Loved it!!
We loved our guide Oscar. He definitely knows the good spots around. The food and drinks were all really good. Thankful for his showing us great places to eat
My family of six enjoyed this last night! The food was wonderful and the guide was amazing. Each taco was unique and devine in its own way. Would do this again!!
For those looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience I’d definitely recommend this tour. The places we visited were very nice and the guide (John) was great! Each place we visited came with a detailed backstory of the restaurant and/or the food they specialize in. We started our tour at a tortilla market. Once there we were given the history of the corn tortilla (how it is made and why it is a delicacy in Mexico). After a very informative conversation from the tour guide and the store manager we got our food. I would best describe it as loaded corn tortilla chips with a side of their special sauce. This meal was delicious! We then moved over to a coffee shop. I would not consider myself a coffee connoisseur so this was not my favorite place of the tour but I’m sure coffee lovers would enjoy it. Next we went to another restaurant where we tried a variety of sauces, fish tacos and multiple rounds of tequila! The sauces were good based on preference, the fish tacos were amazing and the tequila was quite smooth. This restaurant was definitely one of the better visits. Also to note, you will be walking a short distance between restaurants so be sure to bring comfortable clothing. The tour guide will give you more interesting facts about the Mexican culture as you pass by buildings. After the fish tacos we moved to a quesadilla shop. By this time you might start to feel full especially if your appetite isn’t that big. They had a variety of different quesadillas to try, so I’d suggest everyone get different flavors so you can try each other’s. The food was complimentary but I wouldn’t stuff yourself completely because the last stop was dessert! A short walk from the quesadilla shop was a dessert shop filled with numerous ice cream flavors, cones and drinks. Again I would suggest all get different flavors of dessert so you can share and compare! All in all the tour was very entertaining, well planned out and a good way to spend your day. It also doesn’t take up too much of the day so you still have many hours to enjoy the sun or relax as you need. Can’t recommend this enough!
The tour was great. It was a solo tour and I loved every moment of it. Got to visit new places and try delicious food, great conversation with Michelle, she’s amazing. Will definitely return to the places i visit and would recommend for everyone to try it. Not only do you get to eat delicious food you also get to explore & seem some of the beautiful art on the way to eat.
Such a wonderful tour! We had an amazing experience trying local foods with our tour guide, Luis. We were permitted to stop and take pictures of murals located along the city buildings during our walks to each restaurant. He educated us on the history of the murals. We particularly enjoyed the tostadas and cajeta ice cream.
