Entrada al zoológico de Audubon

I’m afraid I simply don’t understand some of the reviews on this site. In too many areas this zoo appears to fall below the standards required of animal care and appropriate habitat and visitor safety generally. It is in need of urgent regulatory reassessment.

The Audubon Zoo is well worth a visit, and the entrance fee is quite reasonable. There should be a paper map to follow through the Zoo as it is quite large. You can download the app on your phone and follow which way to traverse to see different species of animals. The app is just one more to add to your phone and could easily be compared with texting while driving. Prices of food and drink (which hydration is definitely to be considered a requirement) are far too high as are the souvenirs. Pack alot of water, because you WILL need it, along with snacks. You will not be disappointed at the various animals you will see, but be aware of the high prices for anything within the zoo.

It was honestly a pretty big zoo, and they had lots of animals to show off! I did the bundle ticket that included the aquarium and the insectarium as well, however I am not from NOLA, so be aware that the zoo is in a different part of town, but the other two are in the same building. Make sure to make time for that since both places close at 5! You can definitely take your time, and even as a solo traveler I had a lot of fun reading and looking at the exhibits. It was definitely worth bundling them all together to save money. Staff were friendly and helpful with directions, and the gift shops were cute too! Make sure to bring a fan if it is hot though.

Was a lot of animals and worth the money a bit pricey but worth it. It’s good as a family or solo or a couple. It is veryhot during the summer so bring plenty of water and maybe a fan definitely bring or rent a stroller or wagon for younger kids it’s a lot of walking. only downside is most of the animals aren’t always there.

Caught the bus to Audubon zoo. There was a lack of path to get from the bus to the zoo entrance, but followed some staff across the grass and walked up the road. Buying tickets at the gate was a positive experience. We bought the combined ticket with the aquarium and insectarium which is very good value. It was a very hot day and was told that some animals may not be visible as they were keeping cool in their indoor enclosures. However we felt we saw most animals and some of those that we didn’t see first time, we managed to see when circling back round. There were many Zoo run summer camp groups, some better managed than others, but good to see some getting the kids to be considerate of other visitors. Had lunch at the cafe at the far end of the park and it was good quality and value. The park was clean and tidy, the animals seemed to be well looked after and they had good sized enclosures. There is a lot of empty space in the zoo with nothing to see, and less animals than other zoo’s that we have visited recently, but we had a good time looking at what they do have. The highlights were the nocturnal house watching the sloth and cooling down before heading back out into the heat, and the Louisiana swamp area with some more local animals.

This is a fantastic zoo and aquarium! It is very shaded which helps with the heat. My kids are teens but this would have been a perfect activity for younger kids. Lots of water features and play areas.

My visit to the zoo was very enjoyable. It is small but packed with animals. Most of my favirites were there. The park itself is absolutely beautiful. The landscaping is gorgeous and the park was clean. I would definitely recommend.

It was just ok. Not really worth the money you pay for it. I've been to many zoo's with my family and most of them I would go to again. Probably wouldn't want to go to this one again

I have visited many zoos this ranks in my top 5. Its a medium sized zoo. Water extremely over priced. Enjoyed seeing the animals. Was not aware of the water attraction based on website. 3 hours was plenty. Lots of shade to help combat the heat.
