El Jardín Majorelle fue creado por primera vez por el pintor francés Jacques Majorelle en 1923. Se había construido una villa allí y amplió su propiedad comprando más parcelas de tierra repletas de la colección botánica del pintor de todo el mundo. Después de la muerte de Majorelle, el jardín fue descuidado y abandonado hasta que fue descubierto por Yves Saint Laurent y Pierre Bergé, quienes restauraron la casa, enriquecieron el jardín botánico y lo devolvieron a su antigua gloria. La villa Studio es ahora el hogar de un Museo de Cultura Bereber que contiene lo mejor de la colección personal de artículos bereberes de YSL, como auténticas joyas de plata hechas a mano, cerámica antigua, alfombras y otras piezas de arte.
El minarete de Koutoubia es el monumento más famoso de Marrakech. Se adjunta a la mezquita Koutoubia que se construyó a finales del siglo XII. No es particularmente muy alto, pero domina la medina de Marrakech gracias a una ley de larga data que prohíbe que cualquier otro edificio de la ciudad se eleve por encima de la Koutoubia.
La Mellah de Marrakech fue creada por decreto del sultán Abdallah al-Ghalib de la dinastía Saadian en 1558, fuera de los muros del Palacio El Badi. Durante los siglos XVI y XVII, Mellah fue una de las principales zonas comerciales de la antigua medina de Marrakech. Estuvo habitado en el pasado por judíos que son expulsados de la península ibérica tras la reconquista.
El Bahía Palace es un palacio de finales del siglo XIX que es famoso por su fina decoración. Sus paredes cuentan con estuco tallado con hermosa caligrafía árabe, patrones geométricos y diseños arabescos. Los techos están bien decorados con madera de cedro tallada de las montañas del medio Atlas. El suelo está diseñado y decorado con azulejos hechos a mano denominados Zallij con hermosos colores originarios de recursos naturales como minerales y plantas.

Need to pre book well in advance (several days !) for Jardin Majorelle. Hassan helped us to book the garden tickets otherwise we wouldn’t have got in . Hassan was a true local seemed to know everyone ! His knowledge was excellent, gave us lots of insight into the history and the local culture. Absolutely no pressure to buy at the stop offs , we appreciated being able to skip the long queues. Shared the certified shopping areas to avoid bro g scammed. Excellent recommendation for lunch , great food at very reasonable price. They accommodated our request to visit the local pottery market Had a fabulous day from start to finish 10/10. .

Hassen was the best! Highly recommend to do this the first full day you are in Marrakesh, Hassen can give you lots of recommendations on where to eat, shop, and other destinations to view! We had mentioned we were interested in seeing the Marrakesh Synagogues and he added a stop on the tour just to show them to us. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Hassan is an amazing guide! Knowledgeable, professional and kind. We booked two tours with him during our staying in Marrakesh; a private souks tour and a private city tour. I would highly recommend doing BOTH for a great full over view of the of the city! I can’t recommend Hassan enough!!!

It was a good experience. The guide was attentive. The driver was always available. We visited the main spots and even got some valuable tips. The Majorelle Garden part was a bit rushed.

This was a very pleasant day touring the Marrakech highlights. Hassan was exceptionally helpful throughout the process — from booking to following up on a purchase I made (a large rug that will need to be shipped). We never would have found some of the tucked away gems in the Medina.

Hassan was a really great guide! He was informative and made sure that we always got the best deals out of this shopping tour. He was also very patient with us when it took us quite some time to shop for some items. At the end of the trip, he also made sure that we got a reservation at one restaurant we wanted to try and also made sure that we can contact him when we needed him for help. But , I would love always to be honest , fair and respectful when I receive a negative review : # Product purchased is 100 % what you have received and more but I love to clarify that you have received the following: 1/ A private knowledgeable English speaking guide graduated from university with 25 years experience and trusted by VIP travellers and travel agencies on other platforms ( Hassan ) . 2/ A private luxurious Vito Mercedes with VIP service ( cold water during the tour + Tea and coffee in 3 different places) with an English speaking driver. 3/ Fast access to Majorelle garden and Bahia Palace thanks to my licence from the ministry of tourism and transport . You have noticed long queues of travellers suffering at the entrance of monuments. 4/ You did not pay any extra fees except your payment which is mentioned clearly on the 100 % trusted Trip Advisor platform: Guide and vehicle with insurance for all risks. We are registered official suppliers for tours which means we get only our fees of service after we pay transport companies , other fees and different government taxes. Finally , no one had forced you to buy our services since you can go alone as you have said to the mentioned sites in the old Medina and new city for a 7 hours walking tour without a guide , vehicle or our fast access 🚶😇. We are at least lucky you have nothing to say about us as tour guides or vehicles quality. Therefore , just ask us to give you the money 💰since it’s expensive for you. Our prices are very fair compared to what I pay for a lower quality service during my visits to Paris. We do care more about the happiness of travellers more than gathering money 🥰 . Please , just connect with us and ask for money and we can do it easily but be always fair and honest. Please , as a French traveller who doesn’t understand or speak English , never book English speaking tours because It was very difficult for you to understand or communicate in English which is I guess the reason why you give to my 5 star service a lower rating .
