Descripción
ETNA EN JEEP incluye: Le recogeremos a las 8:00/8:30 cerca de su hotel/alojamiento en Catania, donde se encontrará con el guía medioambiental que le asistirá a bordo del Jeep durante la excursión. Se prevé la llegada al Etna en aproximadamente una hora. Comenzamos con una visita a una cueva de lava; para ello, proporcionamos linternas y cascos. Una parada de 10 minutos en un bar, seguida de una caminata de 2 horas hasta los cráteres de Silvestri. A las 12:30 se les ofrecerá una degustación y un almuerzo ligero. La excursión es fácil de seguir, y la presencia de un guía ambiental garantiza una caminata adaptada a las capacidades de todos los participantes. Posibilidad de alquilar botas y/o chaquetas por 5 € cada una. Puedes solicitar un menú vegano/vegetariano al hacer la reserva. Regreso aproximadamente a las 14:30. Mínimo 4 participantes y posibilidad de solicitar una visita exclusiva.

Parada en el Bar a 2000 metros de altitud con una duración aproximada de 15 minutos, excursión a los Cráteres Silvestri con una duración aproximada de 2 horas, posibilidad de realizar compras en las tiendas de souvenirs.
Visita a una cueva de flujo de lava con cascos y antorchas proporcionadas por el Guía.
Degustación de productos típicos y almuerzo suave incluido en el precio.

My husband and I did this trip last week when we were in Catania. Giuseppe picked us up just before 8 am from our apartment and then collected another couple before we headed off. The drive up was about an hour long and Giuseppe told us about the landscape as we drove up. Our first stop was to a lava cave where, having had an informed chat, we donned helmets and headed down - fab. Then back to the car and up to the main base for a coffee stop before we set off on our walk. The walk itself was about an hour long. Some of the terrain was a bit slippy and others like walking in a sand dune but it was all very doable. Giuseppe paced us well, stopping from time to time to explain more about the activities of the volcano and about the local flaura found there. We finished on a highish peak with magnificent views down across the valley and out to the sea. Then it was down to the restaurant for a really delicious lunch and Giuseppe dropped us back to our apartment at about 2/2.30 pm. The whole trip was amazing. It was nice to be in a small group rather than a big tour bus. Giuseppe was warm, friendly and incredibly knowledgeable and keen to give us a good insight into the local area as well as Mount Etna itself. We were lucky when we went as we had good views despite some clouds as by the time we were leaving it was misty drizzly and very cloudy. It is cooler up there so was glad of my extra layers. Runners or hiking shoes are needed tho these can be rented up at the base if needed. Giuseppe was a superb guide and I would definitely recommend this trip - one of the highlights of our visit to Sicily!

The contact was given by the b & b in Catania. They picked us up at our accommodation, we went to the sapienza refuge and then we went trekking on the slopes of the volcano. Luca and Francesco were very helpful and friendly, they provided useful and interesting explanations! I highly recommend this excursion.

Great experience of Etna with Giuseppe, picked up at convenient spot and on time. Had a good discussion about the mountain on route and other historical places. Lots of stops and breathers on route of the 2 HR (or so ) hike, which was very informative and interesting. Lunch afterwards was a welcome break before bringing us back to pick up location. The trip was extremely well presented and we both thoroughly enjoyed our long morning, highly recommend.
