Great day cycling in the park. Great value for money
My husband and I rode around the park for 2hrs and had a blast. Super easy to book, and find. Awesome electric bikes and customer service!
i really wanted to see this park on my last day in Dublin and the staff were very helpful especially since i hadn't ridden a bike in a long time and was also worried about getting lost. They provided me with a lock to keep the bike safe in this vast park that I truly would not have gotten very far in on foot. Of the park itself, i had no idea where to go. I did eventually find the visitor centre and their little cafe was lovely! I had a slice of guinness cake! The coffee was good, too. I saw a little tea cafe in walking distance of the bike rental which also looked like a fun place to park for the whole day. I didn't find the deer.
We rented 4 e-bikes from Phoenix Park Bikes for an hour, and the experience was disappointing from start to finish. It started with the fact that the batteries were not fully charged. Shortly after the start of our tour, one of the bikes had a flat tire after only about 25 minutes. This was clearly not due to our riding style or nails or glass shards, but obviously due to material wear and poor maintenance. As a result, we had to end the tour early as a group. Three of us rode the 3.8 km back to the station to report the incident. The fourth person could not walk back due to severe knee problems. In the end, another colleague had to pick up the defective bike and bring a replacement e-bike so that our friend could return. There was no pickup service or support – neither for the bike nor for the affected person. Upon returning, we at least wanted a refund for the defective bike since we could not even fully utilize the booked time. Instead of showing understanding, the employee reacted unfriendly and said we should be glad we didn't have to pay for the repair since we had signed. We were not offered any solution, apology, or any form of goodwill. Absolutely unprofessional and unfriendly service. Customers cannot be blamed for poorly maintained and worn-out bicycles. The bicycles need to be checked, maintained, and defective bikes removed from rental much more thoroughly. We definitely cannot recommend this bike rental service. No solution, refund, or goodwill gesture was offered at all. This was absolutely unacceptable and very unprofessional customer service. Customers should not be blamed for defective and poorly maintained bikes. The bikes clearly need much better maintenance, regular inspections, and worn-out equipment should be removed from service immediately. We definitely cannot recommend this bike rental service. Very fast rental. The bikes are well maintained and with the mechanics overhauled perfectly.
Comfortable bikes, safe, friendly staff! Recommended experience as the park is very large on foot would take too long!
Excellent service. We hired the bikes for €14 for 3 hours. It's in a great location next to Phoenix Park which has lots of cycle lanes and is a great area to ride around. The staff were very friendly, it's quick to get your bikes, they're great bikes, and excellent value for money! Would 100% recommend when on a trip here
Our intention was to rent an electric bike and it turns out that it only has charge for 1 hour!!!! In the end we rented the normal bike but, had no basket to support the backpack or coat so we had to carry the whole petate, also no foot to support the bike. Anyway, the guys they serve might be nicer. I think they could improve the service, but as it is the only option in the area, since those of the city council are very heavy... because they will remain the same.
Super fast registration, easy to get the bike and return them, great customer service!
In the next rent 3 hours instead of 1 hour to see more deeply the park. You may get confused if you don't carry a map, the deer are near the Pope's Cross, almost always in front. The staff is super friendly and the bikes very practical despite being more fan of traditional bikes. If you ever want to ride an electric bike to Porto, look for the Blue Dragon City Tour. Have fun!
