La Chafariz de El-Rei, que probablemente fue la primera fuente pública de la ciudad de Lisboa, fue construida en el siglo XIII aprovechando las excelentes aguas de la ladera de Alfama.
Alguna vez se llamó Chafariz dos Cavalos (Fuente del Caballo), y es la plaza central de Alfama. Su nombre actual proviene del hecho de que se encuentra dentro de los muros de la muralla Fernandina.

Esta hermosa iglesia y plaza es uno de los principales lugares donde se llevan a cabo las famosas Fiestas de los Santos Populares. Un lugar de muchas historias y cuentos.

Dependiendo del ritmo, nos adentraremos en el laberinto de Alfama y llegaremos al Mirador de la Iglesia de Santo Estêvão.
Este mirador es un enorme balcón con vistas a toda Alfama. Su vista panorámica ha ilustrado innumerables postales.
Otro lugar icónico en Lisboa, esta terraza es tan romántica como parece.
La Catedral de Lisboa, más conocida como Sé de Lisboa, es la iglesia más antigua e importante de la ciudad. Su construcción data del siglo XII. No entraremos en la Catedral (coste de la entrada 5€).

The tour of Alfama has been one of the most entertaining and interesting experiences in Lisbon. If you visit it on your own, it is just another neighborhood, curious and beautiful, but delving into such a well-told and entertaining story with a guide like Dani is a total privilege. The walking tour of Alfama was lovely and very enjoyable. The tour is about two hours and covers much of the district. Our guide, Miriam, spoke excellent English and clearly knew the Alfama and the people who lived there. She clearly enjoyed sharing the neighborhood with us. She was also kind enough to recommend several good restaurants for later dining, and some other places to see in the city. I wholly recommend this tour for newcomers to Lisbon. I would warn visitors that there are a lot of stairs, so be prepared to do some walking and climbing. You should also bring some water, but if you forget, there is at least one place where you can get some.
The experience was wonderful. Kike is an excellent guide. I loved the liquor in the chocolate cup.
