Comience primero con el templo de Angkor Wat.
Este es un templo famoso por la película Tomb Raider. Ta Prohm (prasat ta prohm) es el nombre moderno del templo de Angkor, provincia de Siem Reap, Camboya, construido en estilo Bayon en gran parte a finales del siglo XII y principios del XIII y originalmente llamado Rajavihara. Ubicado aproximadamente a un kilómetro al este de Angkor Thom y en el extremo sur de East Baray, fue fundado por el rey jemer Jayavarman VII como un monasterio y universidad budista mahayana. A diferencia de la mayoría de los templos de Angkor, Ta Prohm se encuentra en las mismas condiciones en las que se encontró: la combinación fotogénica y atmosférica de los árboles que crecen fuera de las ruinas y el entorno selvático lo han convertido en uno de los templos más populares de Angkor entre los visitantes. La UNESCO inscribió a Ta Prohm en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial en 1992.

El Bayon es un templo jemer ricamente decorado en Angkor en Camboya. Construido a finales del siglo XII o principios del XIII como el templo estatal del rey budista Mahayana Jayavarman VII, el Bayon se encuentra en el centro de la capital de Jayavarman, Angkor Thom. Tras la muerte de Jayavarman, fue modificado y aumentado por los reyes budistas hindúes y Theravada posteriores en de acuerdo con sus propias preferencias religiosas. La característica más distintiva del Bayon es la multitud de caras de piedra serenas y sonrientes en las muchas torres que sobresalen de la terraza superior y se agrupan alrededor de su pico central. [3] El templo tiene dos conjuntos de bajorrelieves, que presentan una combinación de escenas mitológicas, históricas y mundanas. El principal cuerpo conservatorio, el Equipo de Gobierno Japonés para la Salvaguardia de Angkor (JSA) ha descrito el templo como "la expresión más llamativa del estilo barroco" de la arquitectura jemer, en contraste con el estilo clásico de Angkor Wat.
Pre Rup estaba dedicado al dios hindú Shiva, y probablemente esté ubicado en un antiguo ashram de shiva, construido por Yasovarman I en el siglo anterior.[6] Tal vez estaba en el centro de una nueva ciudad capital construida por Rajendravarman, con el dique sur de East Baray como límite norte de la ciudad, pero ninguna de las viviendas sobrevivió [6] y esta "hipótesis de la ciudad del este" de Philippe Stern nunca fue confirmada. por los descubrimientos arqueológicos.

I and my friend booked a tour for our 1st day in Angkor, to get good understanding of the place, history and specifics. We deeply enjoyed the tour with Mr. Win Sok: it was full of details on history and architecture, he has shown us the best views and paths, last but not least provided us with a good place to have a lunch. Deep thanks to our driver, who moved us smoothly from one place to another! Angkor amused us deeply, we'll continue to discover it in the nearest days and maybe take some other tour for the countryside as well.
We had a tour with Mr Lux ( Nguon Sominea) and we really enjoyed it. What we liked most is: 1. that the guide was very professional and well-educated with excellent command of English 2. Very friendly and with great photographic skills 3. Time management- we’ve managed to visit many things within a good amount of time which is impossible if we were on a group tour. 4. Wet towels with eucalyptus oil - very refreshing and giving a lot of energy 5. The opportunity to dive deeper in the culture since Mr Lux has a very good knowledge in history and culture. Oh my goodness, what an experience! My second trip to Siem Reap, this time I brought my 82yo dad. I re-booked Lux having used him on our last trip. He’s nothing short of amazing. Two days - he adjusted our agenda for what my dad could cope with. He is extremely knowledgeable but doesn’t bombard you with info. Just perfect. We visited the main temples in the Angkor Wat park, also some smaller less-known ones (my faves!). Also visited the Tonle Sap lake. He took us to lovely local places for coffee breaks and lunches. Can’t wait to return. And will definitely be booking Lux again!

What a fantastic day! Upon request our tour was customized with no problem. We had a leivste van and driver and i could not have asked for more. Very reliable. If i ever need a toir or transportation i no longer have to guess. I would highly recommend ss this was my second tour. I will oc course recommend to anyone. Perfect english was spoken and such a great personality!!!! It did not fel like a tour guide but more like a new local friend. Im very happy

It was our second visit to Angkor Wat abd we wanted it to be different. We knew Lux from our previous trip where we did the Siem Reap city tour. We discussed our expectations with him and he proposed a one day tour taking this consideration. Lux is very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible guide. We used Lux and a driver for a tour of the major temples. We did not want to see the sunrise so Lux suggested a sunset to finish, which worked really well for us. Also, we had friends with us that have limited mobility and Lux was able to obtain permission to get our vehicle across the more and right up to Angkor Eat which was "above & beyond" expectations. Consequently, we would very highly recommend Lux and all his knowledge.

This was an excellent tour. Our guide, Heang, was brilliant--encyclopedic memory of Hindu and Buddhist pantheons of gods and iconography, and a passionate way of recounting the myths and philosophies behind them. The vehicle was very comfortable, tour was well paced, with breaks from the hot sun, and Heang was flexible and accomodated to our interests and needs. Highly recommended.
