Wonderful 3 days experience of the Scottish Highlands to Inverness and Isle of Skye!

This trip with Hairy Coos out of Edinburgh was all and more than we expected with our wonderful driver/guide, Ben, giving us a great mix of history, local lore, and humor while allowing for relaxed gazing at the beautiful Highlands as he played an assortment of Scottish musical pleasures! We went away eager to encourage our friends and family to visit Scotland and definitely take this tour! Mark and Karen SC, USA

"Our three-day tour of Scotland with Paul S was absolutely top-tier! His depth of historical knowledge is incredible, and he made every single day engaging and fun. If you’re planning a trip to Scotland, do yourself a favor and ask for Paul S!"

TAKE THIS TOUR!

If you want to see a lot during a short time This was a great tour. The weather cooperated which was a plus. Inverness was a great base, food was terrific at Prime and The Kitchen. The scenery on Skye was amazing, spectacular, indescribable, pick your adjective. Ben, our tour guide, was also outstanding. Funny, witty, insightful, and he knew when to stop talking. His taste in music is suspect! The ruins we visited were spectacular, especially on Skye. I would have liked more time at some of the castles to explore a bit more. Two downsides: seats are small for long days. A few of the stops could be eliminated ( Three Bridge stop at the end).

Will recommend, but be careful what to expect

The tour was well planned, our guide and driver Bob, was courteous and well planned. He kept us on time and provided an overview of the spots we visited well. The tour covered all the highlights of Scottish highlands in a packed itinerary. On the first Day, we expected to spend more time in Glencoe than we did, . On the second day, we thought we spent barely enough time on the Old Man Storr. Driver was kind enough to stop in the middle of the road for us to take quick pictures. We felt we spent more time on Flora MacDonald Monument more than Old Man Storr. On the Third day, it was nice and relaxing, stopped in little towns and spots. Overall, would recommend but be careful what to expect. Especially, the picture of the tour on GetYourGuide shows people standing on Old Man Storr, but we barely took a picture from the road. It is nothing like it.

Scottish cultures experiencing

I do recommend this trip for starters of the highland. Mr Brenden is an expert for introducing the stories and landmarks, his spectacular driving skill travels across the lovely towns and well known scenic spots. Humor style introduction and decent arrangement of travel itineraries links historic stories and modern life. No compulsory extra admission fees, if you only interest the special land sceneries, 1-2 days travel is more suitable, but if you have more time and want to experiencing local life, this one is your best choice. It’s a nice experience and memory.

I had great time...

I had great time travelling with John. Helpful and informative. He was always early and waited for us the board the bus. He gave us plenty of time to explore each stop. The tour bus I travelled to was new with charging ports . Recommended toboom this trip.

Highlands in a hurry

Everything felt too rushed: “10 minutes to use the toilet and take pictures,” “60 minutes for lunch and back to the bus.” Missing the Falkirk Wheel when we were only about 15 minutes away was particularly disappointing and difficult to understand. It is an engineering marvel and, in my view, far more interesting than the Commando Memorial, where we stopped for five minutes just to see the monument and take a picture. Our guide, Ewan, was very nice and helpful, although at times the music on the bus was played so loudly that it became annoying. On a very positive note, Inverness was a wonderful surprise — what a lovely city!
