El tour comienza desde Bilbao e incluye un recorrido panorámico por la espectacular cresta de las montañas de la Sierra de Cantabria en nuestro camino hacia la región vinícola de Rioja, un hermoso viaje de aproximadamente 1 hora y 15 minutos.
Marqués de Riscal es una de las bodegas más históricas e influyentes de Rioja, fundada en 1858 y conocida por combinar tradición con innovación audaz. Prueba 4 vinos Sus vinos ayudaron a situar Rioja en el mapa mundial, y hoy en día la finca es reconocible al instante gracias al espectacular hotel de titanio y acero diseñado por Frank Gehry. Durante su visita guiada completa, explorará una de las bodegas pioneras de la región, conocerá su legado vitivinícola y disfrutará de una degustación de algunos de sus vinos emblemáticos.
Nuestra siguiente parada es Bodega Ysios, uno de los monumentos arquitectónicos más emblemáticos de Rioja. Diseñada por el reconocido arquitecto Español Santiago Calatrava, su llamativo techo ondulado refleja las montañas de la Sierra de Cantabria, lo que la convierte en una de las bodegas más fotografiadas del mundo. Entraremos en la bodega para descubrir la historia detrás de su notable diseño, conocer su arquitectura y disfrutar de una degustación de uno de los vinos más emblemáticos de Ysios.
La última bodega nos lleva a Javier San Pedro Ortega, una bodega boutique de gestión familiar que representa a la nueva ola de enólogos riojanos. Aquí descubrirás cómo una nueva generación está redefiniendo la región combinando tradición con innovación y un fuerte enfoque en el terruño. La experiencia concluye con una cata guiada de cuatro vinos, perfectamente maridados con una selección de aperitivos locales de Rioja, que ofrecen un auténtico sabor de la escena vinícola moderna de la región.
Nuestro tour concluye con un ligero almuerzo de tapas en Laguardia, uno de los pueblos medievales más bellos de España. My daughter and I enjoyed the day trip from Bilbao! The landscape was beautiful and the architecture of the Marqués de Riscal hotel and Ysios winery were incredible. Great wine from all three vineyards! Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable about wine and the area. Highly recommend!
An excellent day in beautiful Rioja seeing the old and the new wineries, and the truly amazing buildings. A friendly guide who looked after us well all day. The trip looks expensive, and it is, but we really thought that it was a high point of our time visiting this part of Spain.
The perfect introduction to the beautiful wine area of Rioja. The more traditional Marques de Riscal with an amazing premium hotel on site. The new pretenders of Javier San Pedro Otega, and the truly magnificent building that is Ysios. A simple Basque lunch of more fabulous wine and pinxtos, and you have the most perfect day in warm sunshine. I’m sure you’re all looking and thinking that this is expensive - just do it if you are a true lover of wine and you’ll not be disappointed!
Well planned tour- Arrate was knowledgable and very professional. We were 6 so it was more of a personal tour. The traditional wineries are worth a visit for their architectural value- however we loved the visit to a more modern one- their wines are exceptional- highly recommended-

Great Rioja wine day trip from Bilbao! Arrate is a great guide and her knowledge of the wine and area was very helpful. The three vineyards visits are very good and varied as Riscal is a large producer while Ysios and Javier San Pedro (next to each other) are smaller producers. We liked the informal tasting at San Pedro the best. The Ysios architecture was stunning
