I was a little skeptical at first, the weather made visibility not great, very wet and we knew the boat was small which attracted us first , but it is small! BUT we were greated by the lady at check in who was lovely , every staff member we came across was friendly. The small boat was a huge advantage and we were a group of 4 adults and 6 children , we were able to move about pretty easily . Weather made it a little choppy, usually I get sea sick but I didn’t feel it at all. Complimentary hot drinks were much appreciated. Milford sound although wet and a bit windy put on a show - loads of waterfalls that hadn’t been there before that day because it had been quite dry . We thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend Mitre Peak. Our friends who had also booked with travel agent via Viator - had her booking cancelled due to old credit card on file , yes her fault however it was cancelled without contacting her to follow up. Very stressful for her to follow up and try to contact anyone through Viator , she was able to speak to the lovely people at Mitre Peak who helped her . Eventually she was able to speak with someone from Viator but there was a lot of stress first
Its was so amazing to see we went on a rainy day but it made it so much better because you can see more rainfalls in the rain
The most beautiful two hours. Breathtaking. The captain was knowledgeable and very entertaining! Loved the smaller boat as it wasn't crowded alms corks get closer to some of the waterfalls. Will do it again if I ever go back to NZ
Very beautiful excursion in the fjord, the crew was wonderful with the children! The landscapes are magnificent, there were beautiful waterfalls (the boat gets very close). Hot drinks available on board.
Such a fantastic tour! The smaller boat allowed our incredibly talented skipper to get right under the falls. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!!!
The experience was great felt out of this world. As I was leaving the free car park one of my good Salomon hiking shoes must have fallen out of the van. I didn’t notice till when I got back to te anau. I contacted mitre peak cruises to see if they had the shoe in list property. They said the would contact me if they find it. Not long after the lovely lady Madeleine called me and said the had found it. With no questions asked she organised the shoe to get flow from Milford sound to Queenstown the same day as we were driving there. I picked up my shoe and it had a lovely message on it from Madeleine. She was amazing and really went above and beyond just so I got my shoe back. I would really recommend mitre peak cruises because of their professionalism and lovely staff.
Kia ora, Thank you for sharing this and for your kind words. We're so glad Madeleine was able to track down your shoe and deliver it to you in time. She really is a star, and we're lucky to have her on the team. Ngā mihi nui, Mitre Peak Cruises

Such a great boat tour of the fiords! The boat pilot was informative & got us up close to the stunning waterfalls.
Fantastic experience. Smaller boat allowed us to get closer to the waterfalls and the wildlife. Captain gave good information during the cruise. Would 100% book with them again.
Very hard to hear the tour guide deck hand was very friendly.
Kia ora, Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that the crew made you feel welcome on board. Ngā mihi nui, Mitre Peak Cruises
