We had a fantastic guide, Kim, who was the backbone of making this trip successful. This is a more leisurely opportunity to get our of Edinburgh and see the Highlands. Kim was full of information and fun to work with. Our first day was spent with considerable time driving, stopping at points of interest, and ultimately landing in Inverness. Rabbies secured accommodations for us in a comfortable B&B (they offer options) Each party in our tour was in a different location. Definitely follow their recommendation and book yourself a dinner reservation; we had one and watched others turned away. By the time we arrived in Inverness and were settled, most shops were closed and it was raining heaviily, so we did not feel like we had an opportunity to explore the town - just dinner and tucked in for the night. The Lockness portion of the trip was lovely. Regretfully, due to circumstances beyond everyone's control, we did not get to see the west coast of the country on our return to Edinburgh; an accident had shut the road, so we had a lengthy detour back through Inverness. Rabbies made this right with us; kudos to them as a company, but we did not get the full experience we were hoping for. Just understand this is a small country, with imited infrastructure once you get out of the larger city you may find yourself at the mercy of the setting.
Mina was such an amazing guide! Her knowledge of the history was outstanding and she was quite funny as well. I highly recommend this tour as you get a great Highlands experience.
If I do another Rabbie’s tour I’m going to request Declan as my guide again. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and entertaining. The sights were absolutely beautiful and we even made some extra stops to take advantage of the nice weather. Comfortable journey throughout with plenty of opportunities for pictures and taking in the views. Would recommend.
Complete scam We arrived 5 minutes late to a meeting point that was very difficult to find, and the bus had already left. They did not want to place us on another excursion the following day. Violent and inappropriate contact Avoid
Hello, I'm really sorry to hear that you were not able to participate in your two-day Loch Ness tour with us. We know how disappointing and frustrating this must have been, and we never want anyone to be in this situation. Our tours depart promptly, so anyone who isn’t on board by the scheduled departure time unfortunately won’t be able to take part. To help ensure you don’t miss out, we recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early, giving yourself time to find the meeting point, check in, and board comfortably. The departure point address can be found on the tour page on Tripadvisor and in your confirmation email. We believe that these details are clear enough for customers to find us. I'm sorry that they were not clear enough for you and you couldn't find the meeting point. While we can’t offer refunds for missed departures, we always do our best to provide alternative arrangements when available. If you weren’t able to reschedule at the time, please reach out to us at feedback@rabbies.com, and we’ll be happy to try and help. Best regards, Camille
Although the driver and guide was very helpful and kind with many information about the area, our hotel in Inverness (Colomba)was unacceptable.Below the lower level of a hotel. The Rabbies must check the hotels for their clients.Be aware. Before booking this tour ask to know the name of the hotel you will stay. The rest of the hotels where others from the group stayed were good enough.
Beautiful overview of the highlands (Inverness, Loch Ness, Glencoe) and lowlands covered over 2 days in a leisurely manner, without too much rushing and tons of opportunities to wander, take photos and learn Scottish history (as well as hear about some movie locations). Our knowledgeable and gifted story-telling tour guide, Alastair (Ally) MacIntosh was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. He made Scottish history come to life. I loved this trip
We had an amazing time touring the Highlands with Cameron!! He was a great guide and the tour was exactly what we were looking for.
This tour packs a lot into two days! See some of the Highlands, Glencoe, some villages, amazing scenery along the way and spend the night in Inverness. Our guide and driver were amazing! Graham did a fantastic job! Don't wait, book now!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful trip. Our guide Sean was friendly, informative, and helpful. We went to many beautiful places that were not crowded. There was ample time to take pictures and simply to enjoy the view when stopped. I went on the 3 day Isle of Skye trip years before but even the 2 day trip this time allowed for a lot of different locations. This was the best birthday I've ever had and I'm not ashamed to say I cried a bit of happy tears. I was prepared for the likelihood of rain but we were greeted by mostly beautiful weather but either way, it was totally worth it. A smaller tour is definitely better if you want to hear lots of stories, ask questions, and visit some of the lesser known places instead of moving in big crowds.
Lizzy was an absolute dream tour guide! I was traveling solo and she made me feel at home immediately. Her knowledge of Scotland and personal touch made for a perfect two days. She knew the answers to all of my (rather incessant) questions and was happy to share all her personal thoughts and stories along the way. Even her playlist was perfection! I cannot say enough good things about Lizzy and the tour—if you are lucky enough to travel with her you won’t regret it! Simply the best!
