Marginal, classic case of the photos look much nicer than the reality. Grungy bathrooms, they do not provide you with drinks other than one bottle of water when you get on. Then proceed to charge a small fortune (us prices) for drinks on board. Staff is nice, not their fault but just a mediocre experience. The location is amazing, and it’s fun to stay overnight on a boat, but I would recommend an upgrade.
I am very sorry, I think you have mistaken the supplier of this trip for you with a night not my ship. Please reconsider who you are mistaking the review with> Because I do not have a booking nor provide this itinerary for you. I am sorry that you were disappointed with this trip. Tour guide Bang was great and the rest of the staff were very friendly, we got upgraded to a room with a balcony, and they sorted our onward travel. The stop offs are superb, a large cave system and a trek up several hundred stairs to a mountain-top pagoda with some amazing views. However, AC was only on between 5pm and 7am because of the size of the generator on the boat so putting on suncream during the day is virtually impossible due to the amount of sweating, and makes it very uncomfortable, difficult to those used to a colder climate. Evening activities of squid fishing and cooking were a bit pointless but we enjoyed learning about oysters and the pagoda hike. Overall, so worth it to see how jaw dropping Ha Long bay is, could sit for hours just looking at the limestone structures.
Bus trip was long with organized comfort stop. Only 1 bottle of water per person given for the trip. The boat was surprisingly comfortable with amazing staff. Accommodation on board the boat was excellent and the meals were even better. You never went hungry. Cave tour was outstanding however lots of step ... be ready for those. Beach was gorgeous... Karaoke on board as night entertainment, lots of fun. The price of alcohol was reasonable too. We would love to do it again 💖 thank you to all. Excellent Ha Long Bay is exquisite 💖💖💖
Poorly organised such that we received no messages or communication from the company for weeks before the trip. The boat in the pictures isn't the boat you go on, nor are the rooms to the same standard. The "cooking class" just involves wrapping rice paper rolls. The van that picked us up also didn't have enough seats so we had to share seats without a working seatbelt. Halong bay was beautiful and you should visit, just with a different tour group so you know what you're getting
Overall the tour was very enjoyable if a little rushed due to its short nature. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the boat and the only recommendation I would have would be to inform travelers that a power adapter is required for regular electrical outlets.
