We went on this tour today. Our driver was very nice and knowleddgable about the area. I would have liked to make the stops a little longer so as to have a chance to walk around a little more. We also went on a trip to Castle Howard yesterday, and that also was wonderful but I would have liked a little more time there as well.

Disappointing experience. The driver/guide spoke about films and tv programs that had been shot in the area. Not interesting to most people. Hours driving with no commentary at all. time spent at stops was too short except for Wensleydale where we had 45 minutes in the gift shop. There was a program about cheese production he never mentioned. Was it too long? Worthwhile? He seemed anxious to get us back to York on time so we skipped other stops. A cathedral. Abbey ruins. Also, ads clearly stated that we would be 8 people on the tour so everyone would have a window seat. There were 16.
Dear Roving767423, We’re sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience. We always encourage any unsatisfied passengers to contact us directly so we can properly investigate concerns and discuss the tour in more detail. We would also like to clarify a few points raised in your review. Our tour itinerary does not include stops at abbey ruins or a cathedral, so no scheduled stops were skipped. In addition, nowhere in our advertising do we state that tours are limited to 8 passengers or that every guest is guaranteed a window seat so we would appreciate further information as to where you have seen this so we can investigate further. All of our tours operate with a maximum capacity of 16 passengers onboard. Our guides aim to provide commentary on the history, culture, landscapes, and also the film and television connections within the region, as many guests enjoy these aspects of the tour. We appreciate that interests vary from person to person, and we value all feedback provided. Best wishes, Mountain Goat
The trip was absolutely fantastic, thanks in great part to our guide, John, who is extremely knowledgeable, articulate, friendly, and humorous.
Our guide and driver John made it extra interesting. Amazing job. The dales, visit to creamery and falls were handled well
