We saved a little money with the York Pass, but had to cram a ton into one day to make it worthwhile. Overall ended up feeling rushed and not enjoying the area as much as we could just so we would get our money’s worth out of the pass. If the cost of the one day pass was for 2 days time I’d get this pass again. Just too expensive for what it is.
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. We’re glad to hear that you were able to save some money with the York Pass. At the same time, we’re sorry that you felt rushed trying to make the most of the one-day validity. We understand that enjoying York at a relaxed pace is just as important as saving money. We appreciate your suggestion regarding longer validity and will pass it on to our team. Best regards, Your Turbopass Team
So i got these two 2 day Adult passes in the Xmas sale in 2025.. I think with the discount i paid around £170 in total. I had previously used the York Pass in 2019 and saved i think around £70-£80 from what i remember. This time i used the passes as part of a road trip so set off on day 1 of the pass from Whitby and went to the lovely Castle Howard and York Air Museum. I decided against going into York on day 1 as it was around 4-5pm when i left the Museum. I sadly didnt quite have time this time to go on the North York Moors steam train which i think is the most expensive attraction on the pass. Day 2 i got the park and ride after leaving my hotel at Sandburn Hall outside of York with the intention of doing a full day in York mainly using the pass (though i did find time to visit a couple of pubs too and have tea at another before leaving) I went 1st to York Minster in the morning spent a couple of hours in there. amazing place then planned it so i walked thru the City Centre minimising my walking times to fit in as many places as possible. I then went to the Jorvik Centre and the Van Gogh experience before then walking a short distance to Clifford Tower and the excellent York Castle Museum which are opposite each other. I finished off with a 5 minute walk and was lucky to just get the River Cruise before it left. an excellent way to finish the day relaxing on the boat with a drink in the sun. I probably had time to go to the York Army Museum which i saw on my walk back to the P&R bus near the Shambles but was a little tired and happy with how much i used my pass. I reckoned all these attractions would have cost just under £300 so still saved £110-£120 on the pass making it well worth it. As i said for people good at planning a day time wise and efficiently and who are reasonably mobile you can get alot out of the pass. I had to book the Jorvik and river cruise but had a great day 2 after a more sedate day 1 outside of York. No issues using the pass either :)

In July I brought some students from my English academy in Spain, along with their parents, to York for a five day cultural trip. We booked the 3-day York Pass and it was worth every penny. The excellent staff in the sales / customer service department not only helped with groop bookings for the 21 passengers, but also recommended bus routes and bus stops for our excursions further afield to Castle Howard and Pickering, where we caught the North Yorkshire Moors train. It was wonderful to be able to enjoy all the varied, high-quality, entertaining and educational attractions York has to offer without worrying about booking individual tickets, and it also gave us the freedom to follow our own interests. Excellent value for money, a superb experience, I would 100% recommend both the fantastic city of York and its surroundings, and the Visit York Pass!
