Excellent tour. Highly recommend. So much food and great history from Ben Will be telling friends to do this tour!!!
What a wonderful tour. Ben was a superb guide with added history facts along the way. The food we sampled along the way was very tasty and definitely not small. You won’t be disappointed if you choose to book. Value for money
Enjoyed this excellent food tour with the very knowledgeable guide Ben. Loved the choice of independent businesses and selection of tasty treats and tipples, won't spoil the experience with food pics, but met a great group of fellow foodies. 5*
Excellent tour, Ben was very informative and engaging. Great selection of places sampling tasty treats and tipples.
What a fantastic way to explore York and eat some good grub at the same time! It is really good value for money with the food and drink you get included. There are plenty of stops, with a variety of dishes. I won't give it away by telling you all the types of food but there's definitely something for everyone. I particularly loved the cheeses and the fish and chips but the chopping block had the best ambience, very oldy worldy with unique decor. Ben the tour guide was very knowledgeable and prompt with his timings, you will have to eat/drink quickly but it's worth it to get to all of the stops. The gin tasting was such good fun too. On our particular tour there was a good bunch of people from all walks of life and we got on like a house on fire, so much so we met up again later on in York! I would highly recommend this tour!
Carl our waiter was excellent. He provided insights to the menu, came and went as needed. Food was very good. Partner loves gnocchi, Fork on York has 2 selections. She had the more traditional version and loved it. I had seafood linguine in a tomato sauce, recommended by Carl. It was delicious! Pricing for our order was about average for our items. But we perceived excellent value with the high level of service, excellent food and ambience. The room was a bit loud, but acceptable, the only slightly off issue. The room did remind of us being in Italy at local citizen's restaurants. Not always quiet! Highly recommend Fork on York. We're going back. Regularly! Peter
Fantastic experience. Ben is very knowledgeable about food and York and we had a great afternoon. Fantastic variety of quality independent produce!
Excellent tour of independent food/drink businesses in York city centre with just the right mix of York history thrown in to the mix. Ben, our guide, took us through an amazing tasting experience of cheese, fish & chips, gin, chocolate, burritos, macarons, tapas, sherry and sticky toffee pudding with beer. All of which in really interesting and historic buildings. If you like food and drink and history then this is the tour for you. Come hungry though!
Thanks so much! Lovely to meet you and I hope you enjoy the time you had left in York
Absolutely loved the food tour. Ben was an excellent guide very knowledgeable. Absolutely stuffed! He also catered for dietary requirements. Excellent vegan and vegetarian options. A must do when visiting York!
We really enjoyed the foodie experience in York, which is such a good city for food. Our guide, Ben, was very knowledgeable and well connected. He was also very passionate about the value of local independent producers. We had an informative tour and stopped 7 times for a variety of food and drink. Not often you get tapas, fish and chips, beef and Yorkshire Pudding. We were the only people on the tour but Ben did not make us feel self-conscious.
