Discover the original winepress in the old winery, now transformed into the Wine Museum, where the 1775 founding stone is kept. You’ll also visit the Family House and the library, inaugurated by poet José Hierro and endorsed by Nobel laureate José Saramago. This tour of El Grifo vineyard and wine tasting was excellent. Our guide Charlie was very knowledgeable and personable. Excellent English. The tour was very interesting and the winetasting very good with 4 wines to try/compare (after tasting 2 during the tour or the vineyard!). Definitely recommend.

The welcome is first of all by tasting a sparkling wine, then a nice visit in the vineyards with a very friendly guide explaining the whole winemaking process. Small tasting break then visit the museum. Finally, we enter the room to taste 2 whites, 1 red and 1 digestive accompanied by a cheese platter, snack bag and bottle of water. A very complete visit in a very nice place. Too bad there is no notion of French (but experience indicated it)

We enjoyed the tour though the vineyard, museum and of course the wine tasting paired with local cheeses. Especially the tasting felt very luxurious and worth the price. Elena was an excellent guide.
