**★☆☆☆☆ – Extremely Disappointing Wine Tour – Not Worth the Price** We booked the **Wine Lover's Tour of Peljesac Peninsula** (£132 per person) because of its excellent reviews and the promise of an educational, premium wine experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be the worst wine tour we have ever been on. The biggest disappointment was our guide, Eddie. Throughout the day, he demonstrated very limited knowledge about wine and local viticulture. We asked several questions about the grape varieties, vineyards, and winemaking in the region, but he was unable to answer them and eventually stopped responding to our questions altogether. Instead of providing information about the history of the region, the wineries, or the winemaking process, much of the journey was spent listening to stories about his personal life and his children, which had nothing to do with the tour we had paid for. At the wineries, we also felt completely neglected. Rather than engaging with our group or explaining the wines and vineyards, Eddie spent much of his time chatting with other visitors and people at the venues, leaving us to wander around on our own. We felt ignored and undervalued as paying customers. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect was that the tour completely failed to deliver the educational experience advertised. Based on the description and previous reviews, we expected to learn about the vineyards, grape varieties, cultivation, soil, and the winemaking process. We had hoped to walk through the vineyards, see the vines up close, understand the local terroir and soil conditions, and gain insight into how the wines are produced. None of this was provided. We were simply taken from one winery to another for tastings, with no meaningful explanation or educational content. In reality, the experience was little more than being transported between wineries—something we could easily have arranged ourselves for a fraction of the cost. For £132 per person, we expected a knowledgeable guide and a professionally organised experience. Unfortunately, this tour did not meet those expectations in any way. We have contacted the organiser Dejana to raise these concerns and request a refund, but so far have not received any response. I cannot recommend this tour based on our experience and hope both the tour operator Eddie and organiser Dejana take this feedback seriously.
Dejana was EXCELLENT - so knowledgeable and professional! We had a great time, learned a lot and drank excellent wine (we bought some to ship home). Very unique experience talking with winery owners, one of which had a masters degree in winemaking and was very passionate about his work. 10/10 recommend!!! definitely eat a big breakfast - you get 10 medium size pours :)
It was a fun day of travel and wine with local winemakers. It was nice to be in a small group of wine lovers.
My wife and I had such a great time on this tour and our guide Edo was the best! He took us to multiple great wineries as well as Ston and we enjoyed the very scenic ride. Highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in exploring the wine region outside Dubrovnik!
No outdoor seating at any of the stops, only got food at the third winery and it was a small portion of charcuterie. Our driver however, was amazing!
Dear Tori, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the outdoor seating and food options did not fully meet your expectations. There are not many wineries on the Pelješac Peninsula that are able to offer outdoor wine tastings, especially since the wineries included in the tour are small family-owned wineries focused primarily on producing high-quality wines and presenting them to guests in an authentic way. Regarding the food, as stated in the tour description, a small snack is provided at one of the wineries to accompany the wine tasting. It is intended as a light mezze-style snack paired with wine, rather than a full lunch. We are very happy to hear that our driver was excellent and that you were overall satisfied with the experience. We truly appreciate your comments and will do our best to continue improving our service.
We had a wonderful day visiting 3 unique wineries and seeing beautiful scenery. Our tour guide was great and very informative and also had great snacks and wine to sample. I would definitely recommend for wine lovers!
Dejana was professional, knowledgeable and an excellent driver! The wineries were specially selected and excellent choices. We enjoyed the hour at Ston walking the walls and visiting the salt farm. Overall it was an outstanding day for us! Glad Dejana was our guide for the day! Of course we bought wine.
We did wine tour in summer 2025.Deana was our driver, and everything was great. We will rerurn again. Thank you
Great tour! Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable, wine was interesting and tasty. Highly recommend!
Dejana was very informative, went above and beyond with a great sense of humor. She has a wonderful way of sharing history and her love of Croatia. Jospa (?), was an excellent driver!
