Wine Discovery Tasting In Carcassonne
Description
Your host is an acknowledged wine expert and wine tour guide with 35 years of experience and an in depth knowledge of wine and wine making across the world. The tasting takes place in the comfort of our air-conditioned wine shop in the heart of Carcassonne old town and is designed to be fun and informal. You will have a talk and presentation of six to eight wines to taste accompanied by a light cheese and charcuterie platter. Guests will learn how to taste wines, the local wine history of the region and all about wine making and grape varieties. Ask as many questions as you like and become an expert on the wines of the region. Although the minimum booking is for two people, single guests are welcome to join tastings that are already planned. Please send a message to enquire about available dates if you are a single visitor and want to join a tasting.

Alex was an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable host. Six of us attended on a drizzly day and we had a fabulous time. The wines we tasted were varied and the information that supported the tasting that explained how these differences are achieved was really interesting. The charcuterie was also a delicious bonus!

We had a really enjoyable and informative few hours with Alexander telling us all about how wine has been produced in this area over the centuries. We had an excellent selection of wines to taste accompanied by a delicious array of local cheeses and charcuterie. The whole experience was excellent value and we would highly recommend.

As a couple we booked this experience and thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Alex was wonderfully knowledgable and able to translate his love of the wine, food and region to us in a way which made us fall in love with France, French culture food and wine even more. Alex is clearly an expert in his field who communicated an education to us which captivated us thoroughly, taking us on a journey, through the whole process of wine making, exploding myths and opening our eyes to new ways of appreciating the whole culture of wine, its history and the revolutions the industry has gone through throughout the ages. I couldnt recomend this experience more, great food, great wine and great company.

The owner provided us a wonderful wine tasting experience, Langaduc wine region overview and history. The food was a tasty compliment to the wine tasting. Would highly recommend this experience for novice and wine aficionados!

Alex was very knowledgeable. We tasted 6 lovely wines and the cheese/meat board was delicious as an accompaniment. When our taxi didn’t respond he even drove us back to our hotel. I would highly recommend doing this activity!!
