Departing from Central London, your driver will take you straight to Windsor Castle for an extended visit. Upon arrival at Windsor Castle audio guides are available in different languages. Windsor Castle Steeped in history, Windsor Castle perches proudly on a lush wooded hill overlooking the Thames. Dating back to Norman times, with sweeping landscaped gardens and turreted Round Tower, it’s easy to see why it’s the Queen’s favorite weekend residence. Enjoy a fascinating through–the–keyhole peek at the lavish State Apartments, home to priceless artworks by Rembrandt and Leonardo da Vinci, and visit St. George’s Chapel, the atmospheric final resting place of former monarchs including Henry VIII. You can visit Queen Mary’s Dolls’ House, a truly incredible structure complete with working lifts, running water, electricity and wine bottles, all in miniature! This tour is unescorted and you will spend approximately 2 hours at Windsor Castle.

- Windsor Castle closures: As Windsor Castle is a working royal palace, sometimes the entire Castle or the State Apartments within the Castle need to be closed at short notice. Every Tuesday and Wednesday 24-26 December Castle closed
- Semi-State Rooms: During the winter months an additional five rooms, known collectively as the Semi-State Rooms, are included in the visitor route.
- St. George’s Chapel: St. George’s Chapel is closed to visitors on Sundays as services are held throughout the day. Worshippers are welcome to attend the services. It also closes at 4pm during the week, so please ensure that this is one of the first places you visit upon arrival.
- Infants aged 0-2 can join this tour for free however they must sit on the lap of a parent/guardian. If you would like a seat for your infant, please purchase a child ticket. We do not provide car seats.
- Classic Tour Option: Enjoy a scenic journey to your destination and enjoy entry to Windsor Castle.
- Signature Tour Option: Take advantage of the best views on the bus with our premium seating option plus a lunch pack. This option includes entry to Windsor Castle.

Golden Tours is and excellent tour group in London. We did the Tower of London with hop on and hop off bus. We also did the Windsor trip. Our driver/guide Kee was extremely helpful getting us into Windsor and giving us landmarks to find the bus. The tour ended close to Harrods

Do this tour in fall or winter time as it is too hot inside and out of the castle. Not enough time to linger and visit some shops outside of the castle.

Had a quick drive to Windsor. Directed to the entry and Castle was fine. Needed some attention to managing a group. Otherwise was a good experience.
Because it is comfortable and air-conditioned, clear instructions, a very pleasant visit to a place rich in history, we even got to do a bit of shopping in the streets surrounding the castle

Upgrade to get seats at the front and the box lunch! Definitely worth it. Trip was great!! We thoroughly enjoyed it
This review is for the bus operator for excursion on The Windsor Castle half day on Saturday June 6. He is very knowledgeable and provide tips for London and Windsor área. He accompanied us until the entrance to the castle to make sure we do not get lost. Great tour highly recommended
