Our driver will pick you up from the arranged place (eg. hotel / apartment). You will then be transferred to the place of your destination. He will then wait until you have finished sightseeing and drive you back to your place of stay in Krakow. Wieliczka Salt Mine is located just 15 km (+-10 miles) from the city center of Kraków and is certainly one of the most often visited places in Poland. This is the oldest and the only salt mine in the world, which is operating with no interruption since the Middle Ages.To distinguish this wonderful place UNESCO added Wieliczka to its First World List of Cultural and Natural Heritage in 1978 together with only 11 different places on Earth. Here you can find lots of underground caves, chambers and even a lakes. The total length of the mine is about 300km (186 miles) on 9 level, of which deepest reaches 327m (357 yards). You can see here how through the centuries people have perfected the art of mining.

Traveler pickup is offered. We will pick you up directly from your hotel/apartment located in Krakow. When booking, let us know which time frame suits you best. We will confirm your pick up time ONE DAY (1 DAY, around 4 P.M. - 7 P.M.) before the tour. It may happen that on some days (in an exceptional situation) you will be asked to approach the meeting point, which is approximately a 5 minute walk from your accommodation in Krakow. - We, as a Auschwitz-Krakow Tours, are not responsible for any refusal to enter the Salt Mine Wieliczka later than the time indicated on the ticket due to customers arriving late for the previously agreed pick-up time, which will result in missing the guided tour.

Booked through company who organized our airport and local transfers. Did a price comparison and they included Krakow return transfer in price which others of an equivalent price did not. Tour of mines was with a large group other Brits. All the tours seemed identical and you have a registered guide. You are all miked up so you hear everything. Tour and guide was great! Cant fail to be impressed by the size of the mines. Recommend.

We just returned from salt mine tour and it was absolutely magical. Salt mine is a gem and it’s worth visiting. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, fun and attentive to every detail. The pace was perfect, and we felt like we were exploring with a friend rather than a tour operator. Highly recommend!
For a group of 8 friends, the transportation was perfect. Prompt pick up at our apartment in a nice mercedes people carrier, a friendly driver and good communication throughout. Our tour tickets were given to us by the driver so the booking was all sorted for us. Would thoroughly recommend

Driver waited on side of hotel instead of in front and seemed irritated we didnt see her. Wanted US to FIND HER after tour even after dropping her our pin. I expected she would know exactly where we would be exiting tour. Stood in rain waiting.
It was a very informative trip and our guide, Renate was very knowledgeable and passionate about the tour. It was amazing to see the Chapel and the sculptures below the surface but surreal to be so far underground and have a cafe, restaurant, toilets etc. The elevator back to the surface was quite an experience, thank goodness we are not claustrophobic! Really worth the visit!
