We booked the whale watching tour as a last day treat to round off an excellent road trip in Canada and it didn’t disappoint! The boat trip alone was fantastic! We all had a great time. The weather was perfect and we saw Orcas, seals, dolphins and bald eagles. The crew were welcoming and the guide, Stella was lovely . Thank you for a great afternoon.
Communication was excellent from start to finish. The crew went above and beyond to accommodate someone with Down syndrome who had never seen the ocean before, let alone been on a boat out on it. They allowed us to come down early so he could check out the boat, get familiar with everything, and feel comfortable before the tour. They even let us wait to pay until we knew he was comfortable enough to get on board. The patience, kindness, and understanding shown by the entire crew made the experience truly special. Thanks to their efforts, it turned into an unforgettable day. Amazing crew and an amazing experience. Highly recommend White Rock Sea Tours!
The experience is so great. We are thankfully saw the group of killer whale and grey whale. Thank you for the tour guides.
We booked the trip for 8 while on a work trip, and when the weather called for it to be cancelled (which was very disappointing to the team) the staff worked hard with us to arrange an outing that would not hinder our travel plans. They came in and did a full service set up for just our crew, which was an inconvenience to them and did it with such grace and kindness. They took us out and were very thoughtful to prepare us properly with correct gear to protect against the elements and insure we would be as comfortable as possible. They monitored our comfort throughout and were very informative and kind. They knew exactly where to go for the best Whale Sightings and had us watching a pod of Orcas within an hour. It was windy and chilly but the experience was amazing and a real treat! Highly recommend their services!
First, no whales. However, I wasn't expecting whales due to the time of year and I had actually booked the tour hoping just to see Steller sea lions. My tour was canceled and thus I was added to the whale watching tour. We had several good views of the sea lions and also saw eagle and sea birds. We spent a few hours searching for whales without results. Overall it was a nice outing on the water.
This trip was truly amazing. We got to see orcas hunt sea lions. Even though it was a winter trip, we got to see a lot of action. We also got to see the islands from the water and a plethora of birds, including eagles. The staff and captain could not have been friendlier or nicer. It was truly a magnificent experience.
Andy and Ethan were both really welcoming, flexible to our schedule and they were extremely knowledgeable which was demonstrated by their ability to figure out likely routes after the whales last sightings. We had a really entertaining and informative session with them and would highly recommend. Love the fact this is a family business which my wife and I prefer to support, which they backed up by their service and knowledge.
Steve and team were friendly, fun and knowledgeable. We enjoyed our first whale watching experience and worth the 40 mins drive from downtown. We saw humpback whales and sealions. We even stopped by Daturna island for a quick break. We highly recommended experience when I'm Vancouver. Thank you and more power.
If there is one thing you should have on your bucket list it’s this! Andy the Owner and Captain goes out of his way to ensure you see whales, sea lions etc. You WILL not regret it!
We had a fabulous trip to Vancouver. we did White rock whale watching excursion . we went with our two sons and us, the boat was full. There were many others in this excursion as well. They gave us snow suit style jackets and pants to wear - they were actually life preservers . the weather was beautiful the day we went but glad we had these suits- it got cold onthe water. We saw the cutest sea lions and heard them too. We saw two humpback whales and it was so amazing to see them in the wild. we did not see the orcas. We stopped at a really cute litte pub for lunch -food was great. This excursion was lots of fun, i give it a 5 star. The boat was pretty cool too.
