Our clients are always accompanied by our marine biologists team. Before each boat trip there is a short introduction, the the adventure starts! We have lookouts on land with binoculars specified for observing Cetaceans in the open sea. The lookouts guide us to the animals in vessels fully equipped for observing wild dolphins and whales. During your small group tour you might observe a large diversity of dolphins, whales and turtles on Madeira Island Sea.

Great experience, professional team, I recommend it.
I really liked the trip. The guide, Carolina, was very friendly, speaks fluently at least Portuguese, English and French, gave information about the different species, their physical characteristics, their way of life etc. We could only see 2 species of dolphins but it was still worth it.
Today we did a whale and dolphin tour at Rota dos Cetáceos. We had looked at several companies in advance and chose this one. That was a good choice! First we got an explanation about the animals and the tour. Then we took a fast boat out on the water. They told me you have to be lucky to see animals, because they are wild animals. That makes sense, of course. After about half an hour we saw a Bryde whale. That was very special, because he came close to the boat. Later we also saw a group of sperm whales. That was very impressive. During the tour we were always given explanations about the animals and their behaviour. That made it extra interesting. After about 2.5 hours of sailing we were back in Funchal. We really enjoyed it. It was a fun and special experience!
Unfortunately, there was no German-speaking tour despite having booked one. The meeting point could not be found correctly via Google Maps.
A very nice tour; we saw two whales and several dolphins, and the tour lasted 2.5 hours :)
We booked this we'll in advance of coming on holiday, and we were not dissapointed. Great morning out on the Atlantic Ocean with dolphins, turtles and a Sun fish. Highly recommend!
Magnificent excursion! Three species of dolphins and two species of whales honored us with their presence... I would even say it is moving, respect for these animals who grant us their trust despite all the harm we have done to them... and continue to do... A beautiful experience for animal lovers. It was great! The speedboat ride was already an experience, and then the dolphins and whales! Spotted 2 groups of dolphins with about 12-15 animals and two large whales. Simply an experience!
It is better to speak of sea walks. Very few dolphins seen and even fewer whales or other species. Very friendly guide, but it is unnecessary to take an excursion in French, as it is impossible to hear anything during the trip. The comments are valid BEFORE (safety instructions, choice of seats) and upon arrival, but nothing else. We need headphones!
We were very lucky and saw a lot of dolphins up close, a whale and even a shark for a moment!
