The church as we know it today was founded by Henry III in the 13th century, who ordered the demolition of Edward the Confessor’s royal palace and a monastery situated on the site. Easy to enter. Busy but good experience. Have to pay separately to go up the the second floor and see the Royal Jubilee exhibit but it was worth the extra money.
The history here is amazing and it's a bit odd to be there knowing there are thousands of people "buried" there. Some beautiful architecture and the audio/headphones was helpful. We decided to sit an listen to all of the audio first then did the tour. Due to crowds, it would be tough to truly follow along.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about English history and shared the information in a way that was entertaining and informative.
A must see in London! The admission fee was reasonable. You could spend all day there !
Our tour was at 10:30 and we had train delays getting there. We were late and evidently missed the tour but our admission tickets still worked and we simply used the self guided tour. The meeting spot was not easy for us to find. We did eventually but, of course, we were too late.
This is the perfect way to get from London to Southampton for a cruise in a comfortable and hassle free luggage way. Your driver will handle everything.
Wonderful guided option that made the whole experience fantastic. Plus the people there were friendly and helpful. Fun tip I would use the restroom first because once you enter it is away from the start point.

This is a very large church. It could take hours to complete the experience. There is so much detail.
Definitely a to do to put on your travel list. Was one of the highlights of our trip. ROWEN, our travel guide was so perfect in every way. Fun, knowledgeable and so friendly. I would highly recommend this trip.
