walk to bluecity heritage tour

Bantu introduced our family to parts of Jodhpur that we would never have experienced had we not been with him. He walked us from the central market place through to the old town, regaling us with so many captivating stories about Jodhpur's history, religions l, culture and pastimes, stopping en route to sample local lassi, chai and savoury treats. He was most patient with us as we clicked away, taking photos and asking tons of questions. We were very lucky to be introduced to such a beautiful city through the guidance and knowledge of a local. Very nice visit to the city and the fort. Our guide knew how to take us in typical places. We even visited the interior of a house and experienced the local tuk tuk. Our guide is very friendly and knows how to share Indian culture! Bravo and thank you again!

We booked a walking through Bantu and his team. Prabhat was our guide, a dude born and brought up in the blue city. He has amazing story telling skills and good connections in the Blue City. We loved the walk with him and at the end it started raining heavily :) and we had to settle into a local house for an hour or 2 where Prabhat shared more stories. The walk is worth it , go with an open mind, wear good shoes and just take it all in.

It is obvious how much Bantu loves his city! He knows all the best alleys and all the best street food. He is very caring and respectful. He is a great guide highly recommend.

Don’t hesitate just book this tour. Bantu is incredible, his English is perfect, his stories, knowledge and manner are wonderful. I learnt so much and really really loved falling in love with this city. Bantu is so willing to answer all your questions you have on Jodphur and Indian life, he is so interesting and generous and very kind!!

Yesterday I was able to experience a great tour of the old town in Jodhpur. I was very lucky with my guide, Prabhat. He has a great deal of detailed knowledge of the city's history, architecture and the various religions represented. Starting from the bell tower, we wandered through the narrow, blue alleys and I was given an insight into places that I would certainly not have found on my own. A big plus point is, in addition to his calm manner, his excellent English and the fact that he also gives an insight into his life and his character. All in all, a great tour. And be sure to ask for Prabhat when booking! Great!
