The guided tour of the villa D’Este was very informative and the garden with multiple fountains made for an enjoyable walk
Our guide was amazing. She was not only knowledgeable, but entertaining and clearly invested in the town.
Our driver Paolo (Italy Best Excursion) was a joy to talk to and provided a very nice ride to and from Tivoli. Our guide Alesia (Servizi Turistici) was very knowledgeable and made the tour unforgettable. I’m impressed with the overall service that Trip Advisor contracted with. We will never forget the gardens and fountains along with the restaurant we lunched at. It’s an excursion I would highly recommend!
We had a superb experience. Villa D’Este is magnificent. The town of Tivoli is beautiful: historic buildings, old stone streets, vibrant but not touristy. I cannot praise our driver and tour guide Giovanni highly enough. He was friendly, knowledgeable and extremely helpful, truly making this a memorable day. And the restaurant he recommended - Sibilla - surpassed anything in Rome.
We had a private tour for 3 of us. Paolo was our driver and guide. He was so knowledgeable, personable and accomodating. Villa D'Este and Tivoli are well worth the trip if you are staying in Rome. Just a short 45 minutes away. I would highly recommend.
Paolo was really friendly and thoughtful. He picked us up and had water prepared for us. The drive to Tivoli was pleasant and he was really respectful of our times to discover, get coffee, explore…. His communication was perfect throughout! After the visit, he suggested one of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to in Italy, established in 1720. The scenery was beautiful and he patiently waited for us to be done before graciously coming back and driving us back to the city. The entire experience was one of the highlights of my trip in Italy!
Great tour and great guide. Giovanni picked us up on time and took us to Tivoli. Casa D'Este was our first stop and it was beautiful The gardens and fountains were amazing. Giovanni took us on a short walk through the street and alleys and pointed out some beautiful buildings. We was able to recommend a beautiful restaurant for lunch situated on a cliff next to a roman temple with a view of a waterfall and the valley below. Really enjoyed our very relaxing day in Tivoli. Would highly recommend this tour if you want a relaxing day in the countryside.
Half-day leaves you wanting more time to explore, sit and contemplate or investigate all these destinations have to offer. The guide was informative, polite and suggested how to plan for limited time at each stop.
The Driver was charming and thoughtful... he added to an otherwise PERFECT Tour.. THIS IS A MUST SEE.. DON'T MISS!
So close to Rome, no one should miss Tivoli. Our driver, Ricardo was very well versed on the area. After our tour of Ville E'ste (a private for the Villa was not necessary. We purchased the audio guide for 8 Euros each), Ricardo told us of a local restaurant which turned out to be perfect. Perched on top of the village, next to ancient ruins we had a wonderfully, leisurely lunch. Perfect! Ask for Ricardo Giaccari of Italy Best Excursions.
