Once seen, they’re never forgotten. --- Please be informed that from January 12 to March 31, 2026, extraordinary maintenance work will be carried out on Michelangelo’s Last Judgment in the Sistine Chapel. For this reason, scaffolding will be installed, covering the entire wall.

We just got back from Rome and enjoyed three tours with Roma Experience, Rome by Night with Ingo and Ancient Rome (Colosseum and Forum) and The Vatican Experience (Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel and St. Peters Basilica) with Barbara. Their knowledge and English skills were superior in every way. Having wondered whether the tours would be worth the cost, I now believe they were the best investment we made on the whole trip. There is no way we could have had such a quality introduction to Rome by ourselves. The navigation itself is daunting. Likewise a large group tour would have been far inferior. We had essentially a private tour of Rome by Night after another couple canceled and had only one other couple for Ancient Rome and two for The Vatican. I can't emphasize enough what an advantage a small group is, from hearing easily to slipping through crowds to getting every question answered the moment it comes to mind. Do yourself a favour when in Rome. Book a guided tour and do it with this wonderful organization.
